Budget Sony Xperia ST21i Android 4.0 device leaks

The phone is the Arrows Z ISW11F and the device is waterproof to IPX5/8 to protect it from spills and splashes. The company says that it is targeting men from 25-40. The phone will come in blue, white, pink, and black with a 1460 mAh battery. Overall, the process is relatively simple, and involves putting the device into download mode, and running Odin3 to flash the rooted kernel to the phone. The device has a very similar design to the HTC Sensation 4G while looking a bit like the myTouch 4G on top with the speaker grill — so it’s possible this might just be a very close twin to both of those devices. It is hard to tell from the image but it appears to be a 3.7″ or bigger screen with the bottom looking very similar to the Sensation it might even be 4.3″ but we don’t know for sure.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> This could be another dual-core 1.2 Ghz phone like the Sensation and myTouch 4G Slide but if they are planning it to be a mid-range device it might just come with a 1 Ghz CPU instead. We can clearly see it features a front facing camera and the previous leaked photos showed a rear camera with dual LED flash so we might need to consider this a mid-high end phone.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> HTC recently announced they will release an additional 6-8 devices this year and most likely the HTC Ruby is one of them. This is the HTC Wildfire S, the newest in a lovely line of HTC devices announced back in February, plus more since, these being thus: myTouch 4G Slide, Sensation, Flyer (tablet), and Facebook phones – ChaCha (aka Status on AT&T) and Salsa. Will the HTC Wildfire S stand up with the impressive lineup HTC has already released this summer season? Let’s take a look!<br /> <span> </span><br /> Before we continue, let’s have a look at our hands-on video so you know how incredibly handheld this device is, how the UI is looking, and what’s under the boot. This video shows yours truly taking the device out of the box for the first time as well as starting it up and exploring the contents:<br /> <h4> Hardware</h4> This being the smallest HTC device on the block, one might think that it’s squished, tinier than it aught to be, too small for Android. While this may be true of the competition whose devices are essentially the same size with basically have the pixel resolution in the display, here the HTC crew have provided a start screen for such a small device on a TFT display that looks rather bright and nice. The only complaint I’ve got about interactivity is the small area in which now the four Android menu buttons and the buttons at the bottom of the display (for apps, phonecalls, whatever you might put there.) This area has many different things now in very close proximity, a situation where a person with above-average sized fingers might find tapping to be rather inaccurate.<br /> <div mce_style="text-align: center;" style="text-align: center;"> <img alt="" class="size-medium wp-image-45850 aligncenter" height="219" mce_src="http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/5886/00021540x365.jpg" src="http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/5886/00021540x365.jpg" title="0002" width="324" /></div> On the other hand, the rest of the display is just the right size for tiny computing. As this device is rolling out with a 600Mhz processor on a single-core chip, we won’t be using it for too many high-quality apps. On the other hand, its size and its ability to use music apps like Spotify and DoubleTwist (a shortcut for DoubleTwist is included on the device out of the box), this handset is perfect for day-to-day media interaction. The speaker is loud, the construction is creak-free, and the plastic making up most of the casing is not quite as nice as HTC usually comes out with, but isn’t the worst we’ve seen as far as quality goes either. Both cameras on these mobile devices are essentially the same, slight details moved around between the two but the same new elements in place. On the Photon 4G, which you can see a full review of early this morning both on Android Community and SlashGear, there are three pieces of new functionality, two of which are utterly awesome, that make its camera unique.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> <span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; line-height: 1.5;"></span></div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> The first of three new features is a mute button – right there on the screen for when you’re recording film and you want to stop your sound recording for as long as you like. Ever been at an event like a rocket launching and the sound is so deafening that your microphone would never be able to pick up anything distinguishable anyway? Tap that mute button and you’re good to go. Next is the lamp. Just as easy as it is to tap the mute button, you can tap the lamp button and your two LED lights on the back of your device will be lit up as long as you like.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> This means that the lights on the back of your device that are normally reserved for flashing during a photo (or lamping if you’ve got a lamp app outside the camera) will now be able to be used as a flashlight inside your recording of a video. Finally, there’s a manual digital zoom. This is of course therefor a Samsung Device, running with the Galaxy name, named here the Galaxy S Skin or just the Galaxy Skin, bending in all directions to give you an experience like none other.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> <span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; line-height: 1.5;"></span></div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> The device you’re about to look at is said (again, in a conceptual universe) to be using a Graphene.SP AMOLED Natural User Interface. It’s essentially the same thickness as a few pieces of paper stacked up, and the entire device is surrounded by a Sensor Bar which somehow allows the device to have all the same communication functions as a normal smartphone would. The phone can be bent, folded, and set to stay in any position, be it set up like a folder, rolled over for a presentation, or flattened for your pocket. You can even roll it around your wrist as a watch.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> Set it on your desk as a clock, plug in a microSD card to hold your 10,000 apps, or use it as a boom box. The very top and the very bottom of the device are made of a harder material (plastic or metal) in order to have the device sit strong not he desk for activities such as projecting a report on the wall (yes, it’s got a projector as well,) or watching a movie. What’s best about this device?
