Motorola RAZR headed to AT&T, clears the FCC

The Motorola DROID RAZR was announced last week headed for Verizon with 4G LTE and we’ve also heard a few non US carriers will also get a version of the RAZR as soon as November 1st. Today what appears to be the same RAZR smartphone has just hit the FCC packing AT&T radios, that means the Verizon “DROID” wont be present in this bad boys name.</div>

Today a GSM version of the RAZR went through the FCC with GSM 800/1900 bands as well as WCDMA bands II and V, which are what are used by AT&T here in the US. This phone is so thin it might just slide away from Verizon exclusivity and come to other carriers soon. We’ve seen many similar devices from Motorola land on more than one carrier, so this could just be another slightly tweaked version for AT&T although I have a feeling they’ll want to keep the iconic RAZR name going.</div>

While we don’t know for sure this will be a RAZR, it will at least be something very similar if not the same thing. The FCC ID is a bit different but the battery isn’t. With the model number SNN5899A it has the same battery used by the Droid RAZR. We’ve recently learned the RAZR’s bootloader is only locked because Verizon made them do it, and other carrier version will not be locked down. If the Motorola RAZR hits AT&T with the same awesome design and build quality yet is fully unlocked, that would be awesome and I’m sure many will be happy to hear it.</div>

This Galapagos tablet is also known as the EB-W71LJ-H if you happen to have a fetish for model numbers, and if one were to look at Sharp’s naming convention to date, it would most probably come with a 7″ display, making it the ideal go-between model as there are already 5″ and 10″ models from the Galapagos line which we already know.<br/><br/>Test results have also revealed the presence of a 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi radio, but apart from that, other details are as scant as hair on Kojak’s noggin’. This is because Sharp specifically put in a request to the FCC to keep their trade secrets under lock and key – for now. They might also be for Canadian carriers but we can hope for AT&T right?</p><br/><br/><br/><span> </span><br/><br/>Earlier in the month we heard of possible production delays because of some LCD screen issues and Samsung was having a hard time keeping up the supply for this smaller 8.9 Tab. Hopefully that has all been sorted out and we can get this sweet little Android 3.1 Honeycomb device in our hands.<br/><br/>I am starting to wonder when Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and when they do if they will launch both the W-Fi and 3G models at the same time. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is already on store shelves and you can read our review here, or pre-order the Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G detailed here. Samsung is making a decent push with these tablets and with good reason as they are thin, fast, and pretty sleek. We hope to get that Tab 8.9 in our hands soon.

Slicing and dicing Espoo's latest confirms the watered-down N9 specs we'd previously heard about, except for one: a 12-megapixel camera. An intriguing addition, as the N950's official specs list an 8-megapixel shooter, which the Finnish firm touted as "different" than the unit in its brother. Perhaps different means the additional 4-megapixels we spotted earlier this year? Sure, last minute component changes aren't unheard of, but if you ever manage to convince the Finns to throw one your way, do us a favor and let us know what it's packing.
