The Rezound has been spotted a few times in Verizon’s system rocking a $299 price tag. With the HTC announcement pending and the new sighting at the FCC we have a pretty good feeling we’ll be seeing the Rezound come November 3rd.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> For those that might have missed it, the HTC Rezound should sport a 4.3″ 1280 x 720p display and a beefy 1.5 GHz dual-core processor — not to mention Verizon 4G LTE. While we don’t get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at launch, we expect it to receive an update hopefully fairly quick. Most likely we’ll know all the details after the media event linked to above, set for November 3rd. The smartphone will hit Verizon online on September 22 and it will be in stores on September 29. The Enlighten is a smartphone aimed at messaging, email, and apps in one package. We haven't tried it yet, though; we're waiting on a second Play:3 unit to arrive, and will bring you our verdict on this next week.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> Because you've got the option to turn the Play:3 on its side and slot it on to a shelf in portrait mode, you might think you're going to get unbalanced playback because the speakers are formatted for landscape – but you'd be wrong; there's an accelerometer inside the casing that detects when its turned on its side and adjusts the playback accordingly. Consortium including Apple, EMC, Ericsson, Microsoft, RIM and Sony snags Nortel patents for $4.5 billion

<p style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="57" src="http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/7109/nortel.jpg" style="margin-top: 4px; margin-bottom: 4px; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid;" width="220" />News that Google had competition for a bundle of patents being sold by bankrupt Nortel Networks surfaced a week ago and now it's official; a consortium of companies including Apple, EMC, Ericsson, Microsoft, RIM and Sony won the multi-day auction with a bid of $4.5 billion. According to <em>Reuters</em>, RIM contributed $770 million to the effort while Ericsson is on the hook for $340 million when the deal closes, which is expected to be in the third quarter of this year. What they'll do with the over 6,000 patents and patent applications covering everything from wireless to optical to semiconductors isn't immediately clear, but what <em>won't</em> happen is Google using them as leverage to stave off the patent trolling hordes. Before any of that happens, the sale has to clear US and Canadian courts which is why a joint hearing has been scheduled for July 11th, so expect plenty of words -- and probably a few more cross licensing agreements -- from the involved parties by then.</p>

It's a cross-platform storage centre that can host pictures, music and movies from various devices connected to the wireless network; that way, anyone on the network using a compatible device can access all the media content.<br/><br/>Graphics are taken care of by an integrated Intel HD Graphics orNvidia's GeForce GT440, GT435M or GT420 – depending on your gaming and movie editing and playback requirements.<br/><br/>The new Aspire Z5761 can also come with an (optional) enormous 1.5TB hard drive with TV tuner options.<br/><br/>With Blu-ray, an integrated 5 watt stereo speaker system and Dolby Home Theater v4 it certainly looks and, by the specs list, sounds the part if an all-in-one media PC is top of your wishlist - but we'll await our full review before passing final judgement, of course.<br/><br/>The Acer Aspire Z5761 UK release date is set for early May, with prices starting from £799.
