A few months ago, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon blocked their users from downloading tethering apps via the Android Market, leaving Sprint as the only carrier without the restriction. But recently, a number of Sprint subscribers noticed that the carrier has finally put the restrictions in place.</div>

While the apps still work now (which, by the way, are still sideloadable onto your Android phones) nobody knows for how long. While this may help curb network issues that it is currently facing, I don’t think making it harder for people to tether is the right way to go about it.</div>

As you all know by now, Sprint has been left out of the iPhone party over the past few years, due to AT&T’s exclusivity deal which only ended earlier this year. Verizon was the second carrier in the US to pick it up, and with the launch of the iPhone 4S, Sprint joined the party. And it looks like it only took a few hours to reach its milestone for best ever day of sales for a device family. Here’s what the carrier just announced:</div>

It looks like they made a good decision in picking up the iPhone this year. Now the only major carrier that has yet to pick up the iPhone will be T-Mobile (even though people have been using T-Mobile iPhones on 2G for some time now). How many of you bought an iPhone on Sprint today?</div>

Today Sprint released their quarterly earnings and things could be better. How? They could be selling the iPhone. That's not me saying that either. It's Sprint. Shares in the non-iPhone provider are down almost 15% today after the company announced larger than expected Q2 loss per share. The reason for this was while Sprint did add 1.1 million new customers for the quarter, they lost over 101,000 of them. Many of those jumped ship to Verizon or AT&T for the iPhone 4 or the $49 iPhone 3GS.</div>

There are rumors that Sprint will be carrying the iPhone later this year, and for Sprint investors' sakes I hope those rumors pan out. The only other major US cellular provider that doesn't carry the iPhone is T-mobile, which AT&T is trying to buy. Understandably, Sprint doesn't want that to happen. Who wants to be the only big three cellular provider that doesn't sell the hottest phone on earth?</div>
