Google didn’t wait to release Google Reader back in the days when there were only handsets around, they jammed it out there and it looked pretty good, but bigger screens were directly on the horizon, and when these bigger screens arrived in tablet form, Google got busy. I mean got busy several months later, 3 quarters into the same year the Motorola XOOM was released near the beginning of, with a whole slew of tablets out ready and raring to Google Reader some feeds but having a non-fantastic official app to do it with – what’s one to do?!</div>

You add another column, that’s what. This application already had downloads exceeding 1 million when the update occurred yesterday, these numbers sure to continue to rise now that the already working fine version is being updated with nicer and sweeter features. This update brings you a whole new look and feel and optimizes the application as a whole to work with tablets. What we’ve discovered that this means is that tablets Google deems large enough will have a new double-column setup working with them.</div>
<div mce_style="text-align: center;" style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px; text-align: center;">

This review is conducted with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 you can also see working fabulously in our full review of the same name… actually in three different versions:<br style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5;" />Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review [Google I/O Limited Edition]<br style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5;" />Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review [Wi-Fi Edition]<br style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5;" />Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE Review [Verizon]</div>

On the other hand, smaller tablets like the 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100 have the same interface as smartphones currently have in this updated version: one less column. This just means that while the larger tables are able to have a list of stories to read on the left while they read these stories on the right, 7-inch devices and smaller (8.9 too, if I’m not mistaken,) must stick with either the list OR the story on the screen by itself. Harsh life!</div>

<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
10-inch tablet users will be able to now rejoice and be glad because this app is as close as it gets to the web-based Google Reader which, yes indeed, you can still access using your mobile browser as well. This application is [free on the Android Market] and connects directly with your Google Reader account, requiring only Android 1.6 and above to work.</div>

Xoom owners rejoice; the long awaited update which brings SD card functionality to the Android tablet is finally here. Verizon’s recently announced update for the Motorola Xoom has been reported to have started rolling out to its customers. The update is labeled HTJ85 and will enable the SD card on the Xoom, a feature that the Xoom has been lacking since its launch, which is good news for those of you who are running out of space on your tablet.</div>

That’s certainly one possibility, after the company was spotted going on a domain-buying spree earlier this week. Fusible caught five domains - MotorolaKore.com, KoreMotorola.com,  Moto-Kore.com, MotoKore.com and Motorola-Kore.com - each using a variant of the same KORE name.</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
The five purchases were only made on Wednesday this week, and so far none of the URLs link to any existing Motorola pages. While a tablet is one possibility – perhaps using Ice Cream Sandwich, which is set to debut later in 2011 – the KORE could also be a new Motorola phone, of course.</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
Motorola’s original Android tablet, the XOOM, got off to an early start as the first Honeycomb model to hit shelves, but has since been superseded by rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1. Early criticism suggested the XOOM – and indeed Android 3.0 – had been released half-baked, with a patchy OS and missing hardware support (such as for the memory card slot). Even now, the promised Verizon LTE 4G upgrade is still yet to appear.</div>

<img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="162" mce_src="http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/6596/honeyt.png" src="http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/6596/honeyt.png" style="border-width: 0px; clear: both; color: #444444; display: block; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; line-height: 1.5; margin: 0px auto 12px; max-width: 640px;" title="honey" width="324" />So you’ve got yourself a Motorola XOOM Android tablet (with Wi-Fi only) and you’re sitting tight waiting for that update to Android 3.2 Honeycomb, yes? You’ve been first on the docket for every upgrade to Honeycomb (save for the 3.1 update, aka the only other update thus far, which went instead to the Verizon version of the XOOM,) and you’re pumped up to see what Android 3.2 will bring. Well what do you know, we got that update already and it’s time to let you know! Lets have a look at a guide on what you’re going to be dealing with in Android 3.2 Honeycomb, shall we?</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; line-height: 1.5;"></span></div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
Before we begin, take note: this guide isn’t going to be long, mostly because there isn’t just a whole heck of a lot of changes in this update. Only some bug fixes and a few possibly-gigantic upgrades are included, the biggest changes being left for Ice Cream Sandwich, I’m sure.</div>
<h4 style="color: black; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 1.2em; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 20px;">
A New Kind of SD Card Support</h4>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
SD card support is one of those things that tablet users have been waiting for since the dawn of time, that being since they first purchased their tablet, the Motorola XOOM being an excellent example here. The XOOM launched with a tiny tab in the upper right of the device that pulled out to reveal two placeholder cards: one SIM and one microSD. With Android 3.2 comes SD card support, but not in the way you’re used to. Where in the past, with handsets that is, you’ve been able both read and write to microSD cards, in Android 3.2 for tablets, you’ll only be able to read.</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
What this means is that if you’re used to downloading apps and placing them on your microSD card so your build-in storage can remain free and open, you’re outta luck. Unless you’ve got a way to download apps on your PC and save them to the card outside the tablet, you’ll be only able to use the card for storage of media such as movies, photos, and music, again placed on the card with your PC and a card reader of some sort.</div>
<div mce_style="text-align: center;" style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px; text-align: center;">
<img alt="" class="size-full wp-image-44369 aligncenter" height="221" mce_src="http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/1310/4glte.png" src="http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/1310/4glte.png" style="border-width: 0px; clear: both; color: #444444; display: block; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; line-height: 1.5; margin: 0px auto 12px; max-width: 640px;" title="4glte" width="324" /></div>
<h4 style="color: black; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 1.2em; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 20px;">
App Zooming</h4>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
Very similar to how the iPad handles apps made only for iPhone or iPod Touch, you’ll now be able to zoom in on your apps that normally wouldn’t get any bigger than their original handset size. This means some addition of pixels. Ever take a photo in Photoshop or Paint or any other photo editor in the world and make it much bigger than the original size? You know what happens? It gets weird, it gets what we in the industry call “pixelated” or “totally messed up.”</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
What’s going to have to happen here instead of this zooming in of apps is a change in the way developers make their apps, specifically in the area of images that aren’t vector based. When you make a vector-based image and have it in your app, no amount of stretching is going to matter because the lines are all based on mathematics instead of pixels which are either off or on.</div>
<h4 style="color: black; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 1.2em; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 20px;">
Everything Else</h4>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
See, I told you there wasn’t just a whole heck of a lot to it. Android 3.2 adds some additional bug fixes, as updates such as this always do, as well as some improvements that future tablets (before Ice Cream Sandwich is released of course) will appreciate. One of these improvements is added is build-in support for smaller tablets, that is 7-inch and 8.9-inch tablets mostly, giving developers the tools they need to develop for screen size-specific environments. Next, memory settings have been tweaked to improve how Honeycomb handles widgets on your home screens – those of you with a million widgets can now take comfort in knowing you’ll be rolling much smoother now. And finally a set of improvements that help with speed and stability, as they always say, are included in this update.</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
So now all you’ve got to do is wait for it! Fun!</div>

Motorola Xoom Back as eBay Daily Deal, 32GB Wi-Fi for $499

<img alt="" height="175" src="http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/1286/xoomebaydeal600x324540x.png" width="324" />The Motorola Xoom is back as the daily deal over at eBay but it wont last long so you better hurry. If you missed it the Galaxy Tab 10.1 32GB was up yesterday for only a few dollars more. This price at eBay of $499 sure is nice considering the 32GB Xoom is still rocking a $599 price tag at most places.<br/><p style="text-align: center;">It may not be as thin as the Galaxy Tab or look as sleek but the Xoom was and is the original Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablet. The first of its kind and will probably continue at least for a little while to be the first tablet to get updates from Google regarding the OS just as the Nexus One did. The Honeycomb tablet market is heating up quick and soon we will have many many choices to choose from but for now the Xoom is still an excellent choice.</p><br/>We don’t know how long the deal will be up and it looks like they have already sold over 20 so if you’re wanting to get in on this I suggest you hurry. Head on over to eBay to get your own.

NFL Reciever Chad Ochocinco to Catch a XOOM Honeycomb Tablet in 2011

<div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" border="0" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-21738" height="164" src="http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/536/screenshot20101230at241.png" title="Screen shot 2010-12-30 at 2.41.40 PM" width="400" /></div>This dude has the weirdest haircut. This is NFL Reciever Chad Ochocinco, number 85, a dude who, if you’re not aware, was responsible way back for pushing Verizon’s Motorola Devour earlier this year. Ochocinco has Tweeted his glee on “getting that Motorola tablet” in early 2011, a sure sign that he’ll be brought on to promote the device in a similar manner to the Devour. Rumors are also that Verizon plans on tossing a bunch of money at the Superbowl for a spot on the screen to promote their tablet as well.<br />
<br />
Perhaps the tablet will be XOOMing through the air, caught by the nimble hands of Ochocinco? We shall see. Take a peek at additional news about the XOOM tablet here and get super pumped up because we’ll be able to see it FIRST at CES! Wooie!
