Therefor what we’ve got here is a bit of an upgrade to the original review, a bit of re-upping the details, and a few benchmarks to keep your mouth wetted for the big dinner.</div>

This device is one of the first tablets on the market able to work with AT&T’s current “4G” network, that being HSPA+ in this case, with LTE on the way though we’re pretty sure this tablet isn’t going to be upgraded in such a way as the activation of said network sweeps through the United States. What we’re going to show you here first is a hands-on and unboxing video as prepared by Cory Gunther, writer for Android Community and reviewer for SlashGear. What you’ve got here is a 10.1-inch display attached to an Android 3.0.1 Honeycomb toting Acer machine that has no less than an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor inside. This processor has two 1GHz cores in it and gives you access to the exclusive NVIDIA Tegra Zone app store, complete with ultra-fantastically detailed and powerful games galore. Inside you’ll also fine 1GB or RAM, 32GB internal storage, a microSD card slot to expand this by 32GB again, and a couple of lovely cameras.</div>

On the left edge you’ve got your transparent plastic power button, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microHDMI cord port. At the top you’ve got a removable cover that hides both your microSD card port and your full-sized SIM card port. The original A500 has this same set of ports, but has yet to have the SIM card port activated. On the right side of the device you’ve got a reset button deep inside a pinhole, a full sized USB port, microUSB, and a lovely power port. You’ll be powering this device exclusively through this power port and the massive cord you get with the device in the box – the microUSB port is only for connecting to your computer.</div>

The back of the device, again, has the main camera, a 5-megapixel camera with a cool single LED flash near it, the Acer logo looking lovely in the center of it all. The majority of the tablet is brushed aluminum, a thin piece of it making up the bulk of the back of the device. It’s touch enough to make you feel like you’ve got a high-quality product here made mainly of metal yet thin enough that the tablet doesn’t weigh a ton.</div>

This tablet features a fairly stripped down look at Honeycomb as most Android tablets thus far working with Honeycomb have been prone to do. Again notice that this is a video of the A500 while the device we’re reviewing in the post you’re in now is the A501, and that the only real difference is the connectivity to AT&T’s HSPA+ network. Lucky you, we did a couple of speed tests to show you what it means to be on said network – behold the fury of AT&T’s current 4G. It is connected, that’s for certain.</div>

First you should note that you’ve got a standard Li-Po 3260 mAh battery under the hood for massive long life per full charge. As with basically every tablet that’s come out in the past few months, you’re good to go for more than a day’s worth of work on your Android tablet. No worries. For the camera, you’ve again got the same setup as the A500, so it’s an OK look at world through front and back cameras, certainly better than the iPad 2 on the back but, then again, most devices in general are, and the front is certainly adequate for video chat.</div>

When you consider purchasing a tablet, there’s a choice you must make that’s completely unheard of in the smartphone world – do you want a data connection or not? With the majority of the tablets to be released thus far toting Android, you either don’t get a choice of whether or not you get data OR you get the choice of one or the other. Here you can purchase the A500 with no contract or the A501 with an AT&T contract, this ending up being $329 with a new, two-year data agreement, or offered at $479 for the 16GB contract-free version. Compared to the $600 pricetag on the HTC Jetstream tablet with comparable specs, the A501 is a no-brainer.</div>

Another point to make here, and Cory was right on with his SlashGear review of this device, the A500 and the A501 look like one another but they do not look like any other tablet out there. We saw this leaked back in June and it was build version 4.5.40 but this latest update available now is updated to version 4.5.91 and should have many fixes over the previous leak as well as new enhancements to the Motorola UI overlay. Checking out the release notes reveals not only Android 2.3.4 but updates to the UI, music app, gallery, they’ve updated some icons as well as cleaned up the view of the app tray just to name a few.</div>

Two big changes I see is they’ve added not only Firefox 4.0 to the device for webtop browsing but they promise much better performance and a overall better web browsing experience. The update also allows installation of 3rd party apps and you can now click the unknown sources tab in settings to download apps like the Amazon App Store.</div>

When the original Gingerbread leaked it gave users an unlocked bootloader and so far we know nothing on this latest update. Most likely the bootloader is once again locked so use caution of that matters to you.</div>

The Samsung Galaxy Z is a more compact version of the Galaxy S II, with a 4.2-inch WVGA Super Clear LCD display and 1GHz dual-core processor.</p><br/><br/><br/>There’s also WiFi, Bluetooth and a 5-megapixel main camera with an LED flash and HD video recording. GPS, an FM radio and 8GB of internal storage round out the key specs, along with a microSD card slot. OS is Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with the usual TouchWiz modifications.<br/><br/>Currently the phone us up for preorder in Sweden, priced at 3995 SEK ($635); there’s no word on whether the Galaxy Z will launch elsewhere, though we would be very surprised if Samsung didn’t push out versions across Europe. It seems something of a halfway house between the original Galaxy S and the SII, and considering the popularity of both devices that’s probably not a bad idea.

If you missed it the Galaxy Tab 10.1 32GB was up yesterday for only a few dollars more. This price at eBay of $499 sure is nice considering the 32GB Xoom is still rocking a $599 price tag at most places.<br/><p style="text-align: center;">It may not be as thin as the Galaxy Tab or look as sleek but the Xoom was and is the original Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablet. The first of its kind and will probably continue at least for a little while to be the first tablet to get updates from Google regarding the OS just as the Nexus One did. The Honeycomb tablet market is heating up quick and soon we will have many many choices to choose from but for now the Xoom is still an excellent choice.</p><br/>We don’t know how long the deal will be up and it looks like they have already sold over 20 so if you’re wanting to get in on this I suggest you hurry. Apple has been granted a patent relating to the capacitive touchscreen it introduced on the original iPhone after three years of deliberation.<br/><br/>The patent basically gives Apple rights over the multitouch display and gestures used on its iPhone, iPad and iPod products.<br/><br/>That means that manufacturers of rival touchscreen products should probably put their lawyers on speed dial, as Apple is likely to come after them for licensing fees or pursue them on the basis of copyright infringement.<br/><br/><strong>Patent bullying</strong><br/><br/>Patent commenter and IP law blogger Florian Mueller said, "This patent covers a kind of functionality without which it will be hard to build a competitive smartphone.<br/><br/>"Unless this patent becomes invalidated, it would allow Apple to stifle innovation and bully competitors."<br/><br/>The ruling could also mean the end of pinch-to-zoom web browsing on any handset but an iDevice, as the patent specifically covers smartphones using finger gestures to manipulate a web page.<br/><br/>But it's not all rain clouds and thunderbolts for Apple's competitors – they could be safe unless they've copied the interface entirely, every finger gesture and all.<br/><br/>Mueller explains, "The way to read a patent claim is that it's only infringed if the accused technology is implemented in its entirety—all of the characteristics must be matched."<br/><br/>What will Apple do with its new found power? Let's hope it uses it for good and not to stifle competition in the smartphone sector.

How to Get an Original Window Sticker

<P>Use photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop. Design your original window sticker; you can either use photos that have been digitally scanned or pictures that you have downloaded from your <a class="StrongLink" href="http://www.ehow.com/computers/">computer</A>. Incorporate the text using font that will be easy to read from the window that you choose to place your sticker. You will need to save your image as a jpeg file for <a class="StrongLink" href="http://www.ehow.com/internet/">Internet</A> compatibility.</P><P>Go to the Vistaprint.com website, select the "Gifts and Fun" option which is on the left hand column under the "home and family" section. Hover over it and select "stickers."</P><P>Choose a large or small sticker as well as the shape and click on the "Get started" option. You can either upload your own design or select a ready made design. Once you have selected the design you are then prompted to customize it. Click on the "Advanced editing tab" to add text change fonts etc, you will then need to click on the "Online proof approval" tab.</P><P>Click on the "Next" tab and select the number of sheets you wish to purchase. Each sheet will give you 24 stickers. You can purchase up to 200 sheets.</P><P>Click on the "Next " tab and choose the type of paper you wish to use, you can choose between a matt or a glossy sticker. You are then taken to a matching documents page; you can choose products such as mugs, and notepads to go with your sticker. Keep clicking the "Next" button until you get to the checkout page.</P><P>Choose a delivery time and then input your name, address and card details for payment.</P>
