Office 365 ditches the beta tag, ready to take on Google Apps

Well, don't worry, Microsoft has your back. After making its beta debut last year, Office 365 is officially ready to spread its wings and offer its productivity web app wares to the business-minded masses. For $6 per-user, per-month small businesses get access to Microsoft Office Web Apps, Exchange, SharePoint and Lync video conferencing and can take advantage of the suite's integration with WP7 once Mango lands. Larger, enterprise plans start at $10 per user while adding support for desktop Office products and Lync VoIP solutions as you climb the pricing ladder. Verizon cutting Galaxy Tab price to $500, will refund any purchases from last two weeks

New year means a new price for the Verizon-branded Galaxy Tab. Droid-Life has received word from a couple of VZW store employees that the big red network intends to chop a nice $100 chunk off its price for the 7-inch Android tablet. Though this move hasn't yet been made official, the Galaxy Tab should soon be available to buy for $500, without any contractual obligations and plus a $60 movie rental voucher that can be redeemed in Samsung's Media Hub or the preloaded Blockbuster Mobile app. You shouldn't freak out if you've just bought a Tab either, as Verizon's also said to be offering a benevolent refund for the difference in price to buyers of the Samsung slate who happen to have receipts dating from the last 14 days.

Fisker raises Karma plug-in hybrid base price to $95,900, brings that 750i back into consideration

Oh, sure -- gas is bound to hit $4 a gallon before 2020, but you can buy an awful let of petrol with the money you'll save from dodging Fisker's increasingly expensive Karma. 'Course, those looking to blow 100 grand on an eco-friendly automobile are probably doing so just to throw Ma Earth a bone, but still -- money matters. Originally teased way back in the fall of 2007, Fisker's first plug-in hybrid still hasn't ended up anywhere near mass production, but it has managed to see two rather significant upticks in price all the while. 
 
Right around two years ago, we saw the $80,000 MSRP boosted by $7,000, and today, prospective customers are being notified via email that the Karma's base price is now sitting at $95,900 before a $950 destination fee. Granted, the company insists that this includes an integrated solar roof panel (valued at $5,000), and it still starts at $1,400 less than a Panamera S. And yeah, that base price does shrink to $88,400 after you include federal tax incentives. 
 
That said, we're doubting high-rollers that were dead-set on handing over $73,000 or so after tax breaks are currently stoked about an increase this large, particularly when there's still no definitive ship date. To Fisker's credit, we've seen General Motors go through similar trials and tribulations surrounding the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Volt/">Volt</a>, and even at $95k, you'll be hard pressed to find more sexy than this on four (street legal) wheels.

Users can only get the iPad on a £25 a month, two year deal, with varying costs up front for the device itself. The 16GB version will cost £199, the 32GB offering £249 and the largest capacity of 64GB coming in at £349. More gigs for your money However, while <a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/mobile-computing/orange-announces-new-cheaper-ipad-plans-911428">Orange is offering</A> 1GB of 3G data, plus another 1GB from midnight to 4PM (its so-called 'quiet period') as well as unlimited Wi-Fi, Three has blown this out of the water by letting you nab 15GB of data a month for the same price. Users can also pick up the iPad on pay as you go tariffs, ranging from £529 to £699 depending on the storage option used. The new deals are available from today, so if you fancy a boatload of data with your Apple tablet and feel you can love it like a second child for two years, then this could be the option for you.

Mobility Insider, which was one of the first sites to get a hands on with BlackBerry's new tablet sidekick, is claiming that the prices for the new device will range from $399 (£250) to $599 (£380), depending on storage size. The new PlayBook, which looks likely to have a summer 2011 UK release date, will come in a variety of options, with 8GB, 16GB and 32GB on offer, for $399, $499 and $599 respectively, although other than that the specs will stay the same. Pricing roulette If the prices stay true when they cross the Atlantic, then it will put the BlackBerry PlayBook at around £100 cheaper than the equivalent Wi-Fi only iPad. However, it's likely to gain a premium through sales tax and other elements, but should still come in slightly cheaper than Apple's offering. We'll be keeping our eyes open for a sample of RIM's new tablet, and we'll hopefully bring you our BlackBerry PlayBook review in the new year.
