The Galaxy Nexus finally dropped in Hong Kong Tuesday, and officially claimed the its throne over any pre-existing Android device out there. Though the DROID RAZR had our jaws dropping earlier that morning, it was soon forgotten after the Galaxy Nexus hit.</div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> <span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5;"></span></div> <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"> The device will debut with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This updated OS will include a ridiculous amount of improvements – both cosmetically and with systematical functioning. A completely new lockscreen, new standard homescreen, and practically every standard application has been re-wrapped with Android 4.0′s new cyan-colored theme. Like past OS updates, this version of Android will include a new collection of ringtones and notification audio tones (now available). Editing photographs is now possible within the new Gallery application, and the camera is vastly improved over previous versions. The MotoACTV will be directly competing with the iPod Nano and even offers a bit of innovation. The device will be able to read their owners pulse through the headphones to determine songs they workout best to! The DROID RAZR will be the thinnest smartphone to hit the market come November 10th. It will have many exclusive accessories including lapdocks, keyboards and more. Unfortunately, the RAZR will have a locked bootloader and a non-removable battery; developers – don’t plan on rooting this device with ease. HTC is currently looking over Ice Cream Sandwich to determine a proper upgrade plan for their current lineup. We recently saw the Galaxy Nexus product page list 7 carriers though we still aren’t sure who all is on board to get the flagship device. We’ve already seen the Galaxy Nexus sporting the Verizon 4G LTE symbol out in the wild and most likely that was the model used during the Samsung Google event last week. No specifics regarding the “slightly” thicker version with LTE that was mentioned by Samsung, nor when we will actually see it hit the streets. They also didn’t give us any indication on a price and we are still in the dark. So basically this announcement is just a tease to let everyone know it is coming, and soon. Surprised by this strange occurrence, he decided to investigate. Official: Ricoh set to acquire Pentax camera brand and business, get serious about digital imaging

The global news agency points out that Hoya's initial acquisition of Pentax, back in 2007, was primarily motivated by its eagerness to acquire Pentax's medical technology, and although the company's had a slew of strong products since then, it probably makes sense for Hoya to pass the digicam work on to someone who might feel more invested in it. For its part, Ricoh also has a well respected line of digital compacts, but lacks the DSLR lineage and experience that Pentax brings. Provided this deal goes through as rumored, and <em>Reuters</em> has three sources who say it's imminent, the only question we've got to ponder is whether the Pentax naming will take over for Ricoh's slightly less recognizable branding or vice versa.<br/><br/><strong>Update:</strong> That was quick! Hoya has confirmed the sale. Thanks, Ben! Google has been teasing the world about Android 2.3 for some time now, even using its Twitter account to show off gingerbread Android biscuits.</P><br /><P>But other than a short look at the UI at the <a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/google-boss-teases-nexus-s-handset-confirms-android-2-3-908454">Web 2.0 Summit</A> earlier this month, details about what to expect from the mobile OS have been scant.</P><br /><P>Now an official video has been released that shows off what Android 2.3 will look like.</P><br /><P><STRONG>Green with envy?</STRONG></P><br /><P>The video is in Chinese but shows off the new colour green and black colour scheme Google is going for.</P><br /><P>There is also a third tab in Market now, which is for related applications. </P><br /><P>The video mostly shows off cosmetic changes, which look smart enough. <img src="http://cdn.mos.techradar.com//classifications/gadgets/digital-cameras/images/Panasonic/GF2k_front_body-200-200.jpg"><br /><P>The Panasonic DMC-GF2 has officially been unveiled – with the Micros Four Thirds digital camera claiming to be the world's smallest and lightest digital interchangeable lens compact system. </P><br /><P>Panasonic's DMC-GF1 has been both a commercial and critical hit for the company, and the follow up will be aiming to follow its success. </P><br /><P>The GF2 is 'dramatically' downsized from its predecessor – 19 per cent smaller and 7 per cent lighted and also features a new built-in flash which pops up to avoid any 'vignetting' effect by being too close to the lens. </P><br /><P><STRONG>12.1MP </STRONG></P><br /><P>The Panasonic DMC-GF2 features a 12.1MP high speed Live MOS sensor and can take video footage in full HD 1920x1080 in AVCHD.</P><br /><P>"The operation is extremely easy to understand for any level of users with the adoption of touch control and the new Graphic User Interface (GUI) designed especially for DMC-GF2, adds Panasonic. </P><br /><P>"The focus is immediately set to the subject by just touching it on the large, 460,000-dot LCD and you can even release the shutter."</P><br /><P>The camera has a UK release date in January – with three kit options - and is available in black silver or red.
