Powered by a dual-core processor and offering 4G LTE on Verizon’s network, the Bionic also has an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording support.</div>

Expectations of an imminent launch had been raised after the official DROID Bionic product page arrived in Motorola’s online store over the weekend. However, there was no option to buy the handset, and the listing was subsequently removed.</div>

What do you know, no Verizon is shown here either. Some are calling this a “family portrait” of the main three carriers to receive the Galaxy S II here in the US. Looks like Verizon either made a bad choice to not carry it, or has something better on the way.</div>

It was a long wait, almost too long but these appear to be the designs for the US variants. They are all being announced this Monday, August 29th at the NYC event as long as the weather doesn’t cause too many problems (Thanks Irene). Now I’m sure all of you on Big Red are wondering what is next for Verizon, and what are they going to use to replace this other than the Bionic.</div>

We have seen reports that the Samsung Nexus Prime was spotted at Verizon HQ, then yesterday Verizon confirmed they will not carry the Galaxy S II. With more confirmations appearing that Samsung will in fact make the Nexus Prime. Samsung is also preparing an upgraded Galaxy S II and will show it off at IFA it sounds like Verizon is taking a pass because they have something better up their sleeves. Plenty of that is speculation while others are official details either way we have some exciting things in the next few weeks ahead. I have a feeling Samsung is looking to rain on Motorola’s dual-core 4G LTE Bionic parade, but that’s just a guess.</div>

Early Monday morning, Google scooped up Motorola Mobility for $12.5B. News also stated Motorola will function independently from Google. As soon as Motorola was purchased, the big question for many of us was: Would future ‘Nexus’ devices be solely manufactured by Motorola? Turns out that Google will continue to pick ‘Nexus’ manufacturers in the same pattern/faction they had previously done. New reports say Samsung will manufacture the Nexus Prime with a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor and their new Super AMOLED HD display.</div>

ViewSonic announced a new tablet that dual-boots both Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Windows 7. This will be an excellent selling point for the business crowd out there. No longer will compatibility be an issue, with full access to the Android Market and Windows 7 executables – this may be a prime contender in the work place. Later Monday, Steve Kondik (Cyanogen himself!) was hired by Samsung Mobile as a software engineer. But have no worries, for he stated he’ll still be just as involved in bringing CyanogenMod to the many devices out there. One device recently graced with CyanogenMod 7 was the HTC Sensation 4G. Finally, signs of the Motorola DROID Bionic’s imminent release have been everywhere this past week. With a DROID Bionic tips guide leak, we have confirmed hardware specs, and that the device will have wireless printing capabilities. Next, some pretty impressive 4G LTE speeds were leaked – 35.3Mbps! The Bionic even appeared on Verizon’s home page for a very short time. As soon as this device is available, expect an extremely thorough review!</div>
