If you're on Rogers (or its budget subsidiary, Fido) and you're a customer in good standing with an iPhone that you've previously purchased from them and you're not currently in a contract, you can pay $50 Canadian -- that's $50 US, for those of you not up to speed on current conversion rates -- to have Rogers' customer service reps flip a switch that'll cause the phone to magically unlock the next time you restore it while connected to iTunes. Considering the restrictions, they should probably be offering the service for free, but it's a start.</P>

That's right -- the next time you make a mix in iTunes 10, clicking on the playlist arrow will give you two options: you can either purchase the playlist as a gift to your friend or loved one, or publish the playlist to Ping itself. Once your playlist is published, you can even give your friends on the network the option to edit it, making it a community playlist of sorts. Of course, this last option only works if you really trust your friends' taste. After all, it just wouldn't do to have Philip Glass invade your "Core Workout Playlist" featuring such beloved anthems Move This by Technotronic and Whoomp! There It Is by Tag Team.

LG and Sky offering £300 3D TV cash-back

<P>If you are a Sky subscriber and possibly in the market for a new 3D TV this Christmas then you could do worse than checking out LG's latest 3D models.</P><br /><P>That's because Sky and LG are offering Brits a cool £300 cash-back off selected 3Ds in a new pre-Xmas deal.<img alt="LG and sky offering £300 cash-back on 3d tvs this xmas" src="http://mos.futurenet.com/techradar/classifications/images/3d%20tv%20lifestyle%20image-%20cropped34-420-90.jpg" title="LG and sky offering £300 cash-back on 3d tvs this xmas" width="420"></IMG></P><br /><P>The TV manufacturer and broadcaster clearly hope that offering discounted 3D TVs will appeal to those early adopters that are still currently sitting on the fence regarding their next TV purchase.</P><br /><P>The three 3D LG TV models eligible for the cut price deal are the 47LX9900, 55LX9900 and the 47LD950. </P><br /><P>Current UK prices come in at £1,794.99, £2,278 and £1,469.99 respectively for the three 3D TVs. Which means you can now pick up the (pretty decent) bottom-of-range model, <a href="http://www.techradar.com/reviews/audio-visual/televisions/plasma-and-lcd-tvs/lg-47ld950-707343/review">the 47LD950</A>, for £1,169.99. </P><br /><P>If you are keen to part with your hard-earned on 3D this month, then you can grab the LG deal via selected retailers including Amazon. Comet, Richer Sounds, Tesco and John Lewis. </P><br /><P>Simply buy the TV and then send the receipt and a claim form (downloadable from the Sky Rewards website) and a cut out of the TV's barcode. </P><br /><P>The Sky/LG 3D deal will run through to the 21 January 2011.</P>
