Angry Birds HD 1.5 allows users to bring in the winged beast for 59p if they're unable to conquer those pesky snorting and snearing pigs in a particular level. The Mighty Eagle will replenish itself as you continue playing the game so you don't have to keep buying it every time you come unstuck. New levels The cheat isn't the only addition to v1.5 of the £2.99 chart-topping application, there's also 15 new levels and a new Golden Egg soundboard to mess about with. An update for iPad is likely to be the last act of business for developers Rovio following an extremely busy few months. The team has realeased Angry Birds Seasons, featuring both Halloween and Christmas-themed games for both Android and iPhone as well as churning out a version for the Nokia Ovi Store. 2011 will see the launch of plush toys, console games and perhaps even an animated movie.

Angry Birds Android Piggy Bank system launched

Rovio at a press conference in Finland today confirmed the Bad Piggy Bank sytem would be coming in 2011 for Android users. Angry announcement The press conference was also meant to contain new information about the upcoming PC version of Angry Birds - according to <a href="http://thenextweb.com/eu/2010/12/10/angry-birds-for-pc-to-launch-in-finland-today/">The Next Web</A> - but no UK release date was given. Instead there was confirmation that the game will be coming to Macs, PCs and consoles in the near future. It was also announced that there will be Angry Birds hoodies available for purchase soon to go alongside the plush toys and a cash cow being milked. We may have made that last one up. The timing of the press conference was pretty good considering the world will be celebrating Angry Birds Day tomorrow 11 December. If you are that way inclined there are a number of meet-ups <a href="http://www.rovio.com/index.php?mact=Blogs,cntnt01,showentry,0&cntnt01entryid=48&cntnt01returnid=58">taking place</A> around the globe. The press conference also noted that Finland will be the first to get the Bad Piggy Bank service, in conjunction with mobile operator Elisa. Rovio was quick to eplain that Angry Birds has now managed 50 million downloads overall and 10 million downloads on Android. It seems that it's nothing but good news in the Rovio camp, but those birds are as grumpy as ever.

Peter Vesterbacka, the chief executive of Rovio, told <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/11822086">BBC Newsbeat</A> that another version was in the works for the smartphone platforms, but that it wouldn't be a sequel: "Let's say that you will see a lot more of the pigs. [They] will be a lot more active than just being slingshotted at by birds." The pigs bite back The new game won't be a direct sequel though, meaning it will be a whole new kind of game – something that may please users who have grown slightly weary of throwing birds at pigs in an endless cycle closing in on the very definition of insanity. (You might be able to tell TechRadar has been stuck on a few levels in our quest for three stars across the board). Vesterbacka also said that console versions of the game are on course for release in 2011 as well, with the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 all up for a dose of foul-tempered fowls.

Called The Big Setup. This level, according to Rovio: "pits the birds against the fiendish construction yard operated by the pigs."The episode brings the total number of levels up to 195 on the Android platform.
