Looking forward to picking up a new device from T-Mobile this November? Well, for those of you who aren’t sure whether it’s worth waiting for, we’ve got some good news for you. The folks over at TmoNews have managed to get their hands on a picture of a T-Mobile roadmap showing what will be released on that special day. Reminiscent of T-Mobile’s sale back in 2010, there are a number of high-profile devices this time around.</div>

In November, consumers will be able to head over to T-Mobile retail outlets to get their hands on The Samsung Robin aka the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, the RIM “Duomine” aka BlackBerry Torch 9810, the Huawei “Tallsome” and the Huawei Sonic 4G Mobile Hotspot. For the smartphones, we’ll be seeing the LG myTouch and myTouch Q, the LG Flip II, the HTC Omega aka the HTC Radar 4G and the Samsung Ancora, which should be a replacement for the Exhibit 4G.</div>

The carrier has been reported as having plans to push out an update that enables WiFi calling on the phone. The service which is currently available on some of T-Mobile’s Android phones, will allow users to make phone calls to regular numbers over WiFi. This is perfect for folks who have terrible coverage where they live or work at, as this free service will now let them make good quality calls just as long as they have a stable WiFi connection (which is usually easier to get than a regular cell tower signal in some places).</div>

Earlier this week on Monday T-Mobile officially announced the new HTC Amaze 4G, coming to the market on October 10th as their first smartphone capable of their new HSPA+ 42 Mbps network speeds. Along with a 4.3″ qHD display and a blazing fast 1.5 GHz dual-core processor this looks to be the new king of the hill over at T-Mobile. Don’t those speedtest results look impressive? That is faster than the recently reviewed DROID Bionic with Verizon 4G LTE if the tests are accurate. Quadrant results are pretty decent too racking in around 2400 although I’d expect it to be a bit faster with that new 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. Maybe he should use Quadrant Advanced.</div>

With the U.S. Department of Justice now fighting the proposed AT&T takeover of T-Mobile USA, many T-Mobile customers are beginning to wonder about the viability of the mobile carrier in the long run. In an InfoWorld post today, blogger Galen Gruman wrote a fascinating treatise on how the iPhone is largely responsible for the sad shape that T-Mobile finds itself in.</div>

According to Gruman, the iPhone has created very loyal customers, many of whom have stayed with AT&T despite its reputation for poor service. Since Verizon started selling the iPhone in March, it has also seen a jump in the number of customers who have embraced Apple's smartphone. It's expected that Sprint is also going to join the ranks of American mobile carriers that offer the iPhone. Gruman notes that "without the iPhone, T-Mobile will look like a loser to both potential and existing customers."</div>

He goes on to say that the loyalty that iPhone owners have for their shiny metal and glass boxes is what is helping the other carriers -- they commit to two-year service plans unfailingly, and they're exactly the type of customers that T-Mobile USA is losing.</div>

These pictures are pretty clear evidence that is for sure. We are seeing a beautiful device stamped with Galaxy S II and T-Mobile nicely on the back, it’s a great sight isn’t it? These pictures were kindly leaked and they’ve got me pretty excited as well as the photo from pocketnow. Some sources are claiming this is the Hercules and since not only are these leaks claiming to be a 4.5″ display and the Hercules was said to feature the same size screen this just might in fact be the Samsung Hercules aka SGSII.</div>

Then below is the revealed photo from pocketnow that shows the front of the device a little clearer for everyone. We don’t see much of the Samsung Touch wiz UX but we can clearly see that tasty Android 2.3 Gingerbread up top. The ninja’s that leaked these are claiming it has a 4.5″ screen and is blazingly stupid fast. We have heard Samsung might be increasing the CPU speed to 1.2-1.5 Ghz to better compete with other devices and hopefully we will find out soon enough.</div>

These are all the pictures and details we have for now but at least this device has been confirmed as headed to T-Mobile. What you’re going to be seeing is a device that makes no qualms about being a medium purple Android device with only an aim to provide you with a few apps, the ability to call, text, and browse the web. This device is part of a sort of suite of Android devices made by Samsung for T-Mobile to carry as mid-range smartphones, entry-level Android for the masses. Here’s the unboxing:</div>

This device is out in stores right this very minute and is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a 1GHz Hummingbird processor. It’s got a 3.5-inch display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, and it’s got a VGA front-facing camera on the front and 3-megapixel camera on the back. It’s connected with T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network (4G) and comes with a 4GB microSD card with a slot upgradable to 32GB. Inside you’ll find a 1500mAh battery and 512MB RAM and 1GB of ROM.</div>

The device is light, but not too light for its size, plastic all around including a full-back plastic battery cover, a plastic cover for the microUSB, and shiny chrome plastic all around the edge. The bottom of the device bends downward and away from your face where the Nexus S bends up – as if to say, I’m not a Nexus S, and I don’t intend to be. I’d still choose the LG Optimus V or Optimus U or whichever other letter one would choose depending on the carrier if we’re just basing this decision on the build quality, as I’m much more prone to love a soft plastic experience, but for those who want only a single physical button for home and three others for the rest of your Android actions, this is your device. This device is running a relatively new Samsung TouchWiz, one you’ll recognize if you’ve ever played with a Samsung Android in the past but not the newest version certainly – made to welcome both those new to smartphones and those who’ve used Apple’s iOS in the past. That said, if you’re moving away from an iPhone, this probably isn’t your best bet – go for the Galaxy S II if you want a Samsung device after that Apple flagship.</div>

This device, despite it not having the most top-tier display in the world, does have a zippy processor at 1GHz single-core. You’ll be able to play basically any application you download from the app market (unless its specifically made for a certain processor or needs dual-core power, of course,) and you wont be dissapolinted by the speed in any way if you’re just moving to smartphones with this device from your years and years of feature phone oppression.</div>

This device doesn’t take any crap from the rest of the top-tier phones of years past, too, if you believe the benchmarks. The Exhibit 4G regularly gets around 1000 in Quadrant Advanced, that beating out the Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy S original, and hitting right behind the Motorola Droid X. You’ll be whipping your finger back and forth along some sweet games all day long with that kind of action. This device includes several fun games right out of the box including Bejeweled 2, Doodle Jump, and Scrabble. This device also runs Swype for your keyboard and Slacker Radio for your ears.</div>

The battery is right up in the regular range at 1500 mAh giving you somewhere around 10 hours on a single charge with medium use throughout the day. This device doesn’t demand a whole lot of the battery so such a thing is to be expected. As for the camera, well, judge for yourself. This again is one of three Samsung devices now available on T-Mobile in the same range of functionality and, more than likely, price. There’s the Samsung Gravity Smart which is a slide-out QWERTY keyboard toting puck-shaped device, the Samsung Dart which is even more puck-shaped than the Gravity and holds the world record for simplest most basic Android device on earth, then this, the Samsung Exhibit 4G. These devices come up to contend against the LG Optimus mid-ranged line such as the LG Optimus U and the LG Optimus V, then soon against the HTC Wildfire S, a device announced for T-Mobile just this week.</div>

The mid-range is rising! It’s not necessarily the greatest place to be, certainly a stepping stone for most people into the world of NICE Android devices, but perhaps a necessary transition point indeed. The Samsung Exhibit 4G is the nicest device of the three Samsung handsets we’ve seen here over the past couple of weeks.
