Just recently they updated many of their Docs programs, and now they have pushed out a new stable release of their popular web browser, Google Chrome. This release of Chrome completely redesigns the screen that launches when you click on the new tab button. This new change makes it easier to manage your most visited websites and all your installed apps. It is much cleaner looking than the older version and is much more functional.<br />
The next big change is to the Chrome App Store. Google pretty much rebuilt the web store from the ground up. Now it is much easier to get more information about an application right from the main page. Simply mouse over the application in the store to see the rating and a brief description of the app. You can also install the app right from this little hover-over window. This way, if you know what application you want you can get access to it much more quickly.<br />

When you see an app you like and click it, it now opens in a little window pop up. This makes it quicker to get back to your search results.<br />

<img src="http://cdn.mos.techradar.com///classifications/computing/software/operating-systems/images/OSX_Lion/0-back-to-the-mac-200-200.jpg"> <br /><P>Apple is looking to open the doors of its Mac App Store in less than a week, according to reports, with 13 December being mooted as a release date.</P><br /><P>Jobs and co announced <a href="">back in October</A> that an App Store for Macs was in the works, after it was revealed alongside the new OS X platform, 10.7 Lion.</P><br /><P>The store is taking its inspiration from the iOS app store, offering applications to make your desktop that little bit better to use.</P><br /><P><STRONG>App Store imminent</STRONG></P><br /><P>Although it was announced with OS X 10.7, the app store is standalone and will be available for those using Snow Leopard and above.</P><br /><P>The internet's usual rumour mill has seen the date 13 December <a href="http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Mobile-and-Wireless/Apple-Prepping-Mac-App-Store-for-Dec-13-Rumors-182870/">crop up</A> a number of times – and it's a date that's in-keeping with Apple's proposed 90 day from announcement launch.</P><br /><P>December looks set to be a busy time for Apple, who is also looking to drop its <a href="">iOS 4.3</A> update around mid December as well. This will bring improvements to Airplay and a possible new type of subscription service for applications.</P>

<img src="http://cdn.mos.techradar.com//classifications/computing/internet-and-broadband/chair%20close%20up-200-200.jpg"><br /><P>Sainsbury's has indicated that it will offer a digital download service for music and movies from Christmas, with ebooks also on the horizon. </P><br /><P>The supermarket giant is keen to move into the digital realm – and will unveil its new download service soon claiming that prices will be 'competitive'. </P><br /><P>According to Sainsbury's the move is one part of a key new strategy – which also saw the arrival of a <a href="http://www.sainsburysentertainment.co.uk/en/home.html">new website</A> last week. </P><br /><P><img alt="Sainsbury's new site" src="http://mos.futurenet.com/techradar/classifications/computing/internet-and-broadband/sainsburys-420-90.jpg" width="420"></IMG></P><br /><P><STRONG>Music, movies and eBooks soon</STRONG></P><br /><P>The service will offer music 'from every major artist and record label' with tracks compatible with all major players including iPods, and movies will also be on offer 'for purchase or download'.</P><br /><P>"Online enables us to offer much more than we can in store," said Richard Crampton, Sainsbury's head of entertainment:</P><br /><P>"The new site will join seamlessly with our existing non-food online offer so customers can browse and discover their favourite music, films, books and games easily."</P><br /><P>Interestingly – Sainsbury's has also indicated that 'a range of ebooks will also be introduced early next year' – although it remains to be seen if the prices are comparable with its current prices for real books, something which would undercut the likes of Amazon.</P>
