Winklevoss Twins suing Facebook again

<div align="center"><img src="http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/4053/facebooklogo200200.jpg" /></div>The Winklevoss twins are attempting to sue Mark Zuckerberg for apparently stealing the idea for Facebook from them yet again, despite already being offered a $65 million (£41.85 million) settlement 
The 'Winkelvii' (as Jesse Eisenberg's character refers to them in The Social Network) claim to have originally come up with the idea for Facebook, which they claim Mark Zuckerberg stole from them while at Harvard University. 
Unhappy Winklevii 
Seemingly unsatisfied with being offered $65 million as a pay-off already, it seems that the twins feel that there is a principle at stake here. 
Hence Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss are suing Facebook in Federal Court again, 
The pair told the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/31/business/31twins.html?pagewanted=1&hp">New York Times</a> how they plan to pursue Zuckerberg in US courts until they feel justice is done. 
The Winklevii recount in interminable detail how they first met Zuckerberg in the infamous Kirkland House dining room, the layout of Zuckerberg's Harvard dorm and how they feel he stole the basic idea for Facebook from a website concept they had called Harvard Connection. 
Beyond all that rather dull detail, the twins also claim that Facebook has violated the US Securities Act of 1934 when it drew up the original settlement deal for $65 million. 
All good fodder for The Social Network 2, perhaps?

A Twitter conversation between two authors of Nokia blogs has yielded some surprising (but curiously detailed) specs on the forthcoming Nokia N9, prompting speculation the phone is on its way. The rumours state that not only will the Nokia N9 have a 4.2-inch OLED screen, but it will also be bringing a 1600mAh battery, and have a 1.2GHz processor. Next-gen gaming A dedicated gaming engine will also be able to display 190 polygons per second, which would put it way above any phone on the market at the moment, and well up there with some dedicated consoles. Other tidbits from the exchange include a 12MP camera with Carl Zeiss Optics and 768MB of RAM - like we said, very much speculation at the moment, but it's possible there might be a grain of truth, despite the sources not being revealed. We'll keep an eye on Nokia to see if something around Mobile World Congress is announced - but knowing the Finns' strategy, we'll see the first MeeGo phone unveiled at the start of 2011, but not actually get our hands on it until Q4.

The short movie from user xxmajstor gives a tour of the phone's chassis, showing off the shoulder buttons and finally extends out the game pad (something which <a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/psp-phone-spotted-called-sony-ericsson-z1-912230">last week's spy video</A> couldn't manage). The phone really is a rather chunky beast, with a likely depth of around 20mm (unless the demonstrator has freakishly small hands) so you'll probably have to REALLY want to game on the go to buy this. Internally we're treated to confirmation that the Sony Ericsson Z1 will be treated to a spot of Gingerbread (<a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/android-2-3-rumours-what-you-need-to-know-908255">Android 2.3</A>) and has the codename of 'Zeus' although we'll be surprised if it actually emerges with that name. </PARAM><PARAM value="true" name="allowFullScreen"></PARAM><PARAM value="always" name="allowscriptaccess"></PARAM><EMBED src=http://www.youtube.com/v/O6cxaVRs60w&hl=en&fs=1 width=420 height=315 type=application/x-shockwave-flash allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"> </EMBED></OBJECT> The PlayStation icon is there in all its glory, and in the second video is explored in a little more depth. BlackBerry PlayBook demoed again on video

At a network event in Canada, the new device was put through its pace for a few minutes, highlighting a few things users can expect. The first was two styles of gestures - the normal way of flipping through screens, and then using the frame, so pulling down from the top will open up controls, much like the Android way of seeing notifications. Video also featured prominently in the walkthrough, with the 1080p capabilities on show and working smoothly, despite the early build. The next generation The RIM spokesperson said: "We wanted to make sure devices like this are a true crossover, moving away from merely messaging and into a combination of media, internet and more." The video even continued playing as the internet was brought to the foreground, and also when dropping out to view the multi-tasked apps in thumbnail, which seems pretty impressive. That means it's five years since many of us picked up a copy of Perfect Dark Zero and said "this sucks!" It got off to a bumpy start, but I love my Xbox. I missed it when it needed surgery to remove the Red Ring of Death, and I missed it even more when a hand injury and subsequent hand surgery meant I wasn't allowed to touch it for months. No sooner had the doctor said it was OK to play games again and I was installing Lost Planet 2. With hindsight, that one was a mistake. Noise Annoys It's not perfect. My one's on its way out, with startup freezes becoming more and more common. My wife can't stand the hooting of its fans, a noise that's still terribly annoying despite 2008's New Xbox Experience bringing the overdue ability to install games to the hard disk. The storage space is pathetic, because - yes! - I install games to the hard disk. Its looks haven't aged well, something the latest models address (along with the noise, I'm told). The video marketplace or Zune Tellybox or whatever it's been rebranded as this week still sucks. And the lack of iPlayer is crazy, Microsoft cutting off its nose to spite its face by refusing to let the BBC give us its sterling streaming service for free. Despite all of these things, I still love it. It doesn't feel like a console nearing the end of its life; rather, it feels like a console developers know what they're doing with. When I used to play PC games, I often - rightly - wished I had better hardware to play them on, but I still don't feel that with my Xbox: games such as the gloriously demented Vanquish look superb, go like the clappers and don't appear to be bringing my Xbox near breaking point. Unplugged Dust Gatherer It's interesting to compare the Xbox to the Wii, another console that used to live under the telly. After a brief burst of Wii Sports when I first got it, the Wii was demoted to Unplugged Dust Gatherer, resurrected briefly for a bit of Dead Space Extraction before ending up on Gumtree. I reckon my total Wii play time barely reached the tens of hours; with my Xbox it's thousands, and I've used it to watch countless videos too. The only bit of kit I spend more time on is the laptop I use for work. My Xbox 360 made me what I am today - fat, with ruined hands. So it's probably just as well that instead of rushing out a new kind of Xbox, Microsoft has released Kinect instead. I'm pretty excited about that. Not only is there the possibility that I'll actually get off my lazy backside, but as the dad of a three-year-old I can't wait to bring games such as Kinectimals into the house and get my wee girl into gaming at an impressionable age. The only reason I haven't got it already is because I'm saving up to buy one of the black Xboxes. There's a recommendation for you: it's so good I'm buying it all over again.

This time there are a few more (admittedly rather blurry) photos of the Samsung-manufactured phone, as well as some screenshots, too. The interesting about is the possible specs, because some of them would be a little underpowered for a cutting-edge device. The headline stuff is as to be expected: WVGA four-inch screen, 720p video recording, and a (possibly dual-core) ArmV7 CPU. Where's all the storage? But it may also come with only 1GB of internal storage, which is much lower than the first Galaxy S, and only 328MB of RAM, though XDA Developers Forum, which showed off the device, posits that it could be 512MB. Super AMOLED 2, which offers improved performance and contrast ratios over the first Super AMOLED screen, could also be used, which would make the Nexus S a really rather decent handset. <img alt="Google nexus s review" src="http://mos.futurenet.com/techradar/classifications/Mobile%20Phones/Google/Nexus_S_2_cred_XDA-200-100.jpg" width="200"></IMG> And Gingerbread will be bringing some UI changes to the Android system too: new icons at the top and more angular menu screens are in effect, although the overall operation looks pretty much the same. It can't be too long until the Nexus S moves from 'unannounced' to... well... 'announced', so we'll be bringing you our Google Nexus S review and a UK release date as soon as humanly possible. If we can hire any cyborgs to do it faster, we'll do that too.
