How to Use Homing Rockets in "Quake 4"

Equip the rocket launcher using the mouse scroll wheel or the numeric key assigned to the rocket launcher (it is displayed in the weapons inventory).

Right-click and hold the mouse to use the alternate firing mode. Aim at the target you want to shoot. Because rockets travel slower in homing mode, aim for relatively close targets. Even an average speed enemy can dodge homing rockets if given enough time.

Hold the right mouse button until the green laser dot is locked onto the target and you are out of the way of the blast radius. Rockets do splash damage and will damage any targets within the blast radius including you. Release the right mouse button to fire the rockets.
