EA boss John Riccitiello has claimed this week that the publisher sees little current demand for 3D gaming, with poor returns to date from the investments the company has made in 3D console and PC game development.</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
The gaming exec said that EA was "not here to drive a market" when discussing what he thought to be the slow uptake of 3D TVs in the home.</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">

<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
"We are here to react to what customers want," said Riccitiello. And what gamers want (according to the hive-mind at EA HQ) is mobile and social gaming, not high def 3D console gaming.</div>
<div mce_style="text-align: center;" style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px; text-align: center;">
<img alt="3D watchers" class="aligncenter" height="315" mce_src="http://mos.futurenet.com/techradar/classifications/images/3d%20tv%20lifestyle%20image-%20cropped34-420-90.jpg" src="http://mos.futurenet.com/techradar/classifications/images/3d%20tv%20lifestyle%20image-%20cropped34-420-90.jpg" style="border-width: 0px; clear: both; color: #444444; display: block; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; line-height: 1.5; margin: 0px auto 12px; max-width: 640px;" width="420" /></div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
Following EA's recent buy-out of leading mobile and social gaming developer PopCap, Riccitiello added: "We really see high returns in these markets…and very poor returns focusing on 3D, so we are allocating our resources toward new innovations."</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
Riccitiello added that most of the games industry's console development is focused on making games in 3D already, hence there is no need for a massive extra investment to produce stereoscopic 3D gaming content, unlike the current situation in the TV industry.</div>
<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">
Nintendo has had to slash the cost of its glasses-free stereoscopic 3DS handheld this week, reportedly now losing money on every 3DS handheld sold.</div>

<br />
As mentioned in <a href="http://www.accordancebible.com/News/Accordance-For-IOS">the official release notice</a>, the free universal app includes a copy of the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible, which is linked to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strong%27s_Concordance">Strong's numbers</a>. There are also free Greek and Hebrew dictionaries, a copy of Easton's Bible Dictionary and more. In addition, those who create a <a href="https://www.accordancebible.com/site/sign_in/">free Accordance account</a> will have access to even more free resources (see the official release for more details).<br />
<br />
If you're already an Accordance user, you should use your existing account name and password, because it will allow you to select modules that you have purchased to be downloaded and installed on your iOS device. To do so, tap the Books icon at the bottom left of the main screen to access your iOS library, then tap the down arrow on the bottom left of the "Library" screen. Accordance for iOS will show you all of the modules that you can download and their sizes.<br />
<br />
I've only just downloaded the app and some modules, so I can't really offer much in the way of a review. The app had been announced for a December launch, and they made it with hours to spare. More information can be found on the <a href="http://www.accordancebible.com/forums/index.php?showforum=47">Accordance for iOS forum</a>, including some preliminary Q&A, which was done on the <a href="http://www.accordancebible.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5408">official forum announcement post</a>. <a href="http://www.accordancebible.com/iOS/Help">Online help documentation</a> is also available. Congrats to the Accordance team!<br />
