<div class="ex"><p align="center"><img alt="Microsoft acts quickly to fix Hotmail password bug" src="http://www.new-technology-news.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/windows_logo-470-75.jpg"></p><p>Microsoft says it has fixed a bug within its Hotmail email service, which had allowed hackers to easily reset passwords and take control of accounts.</p><p>The software giant, which has 350m users signed up for webmail accounts, released the fix amid fears that accounts were being easily compromised.</p><p>The bug, discovered earlier this month, sparked reports of hackers offering to carry out the password switch on any account for as little as $20 (£12).</p><p>YouTube videos highlighting how to perform the hack, mainly in Arabic, had also started to surface.</p><h3>Quick fix</h3><p>Microsoft has issued a statement to say the loophole has now been closed and that Hotmail account holders need take no further action.</p><p>“On Friday, we addressed an incident with password reset functionality; there is no action for customers, as they are protected,” the company said.</p><p>Security firm Sophos has blogged on the subject, pointing out that it’s unclear how many accounts have been burgled.</p><p>“What isn’t known is just how many of Hotmail’s 350 million users might have been impacted by the serious security vulnerability – Microsoft certainly isn’t saying,” the company <a href="http://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2012/04/27/microsoft-rushes-out-fix-after-hackers-change-passwords-to-hack-hotmail-accounts/">wrote</a> on its Naked Security blog.</p><p>“But if you’re worried, there’s an easy way to check. Crescent Moon Games made the excellent Aralon for iOS in the past, and that was a full-fledged RPG, featuring a whole world to explore and lots of gear to collect and quests to complete. Now, the company's gone back to the fantasy well to deliver another hack-and-slash style RPG game, though this one is a little simpler (and a little more focused on just the dungeons). Pocket RPG is exactly what it sounds like: A colorful dungeon-crawler with three classes, a fun and slick style and some great dual-stick gameplay.</div>

If there's an issue with this one, it's probably that things are a little too simple. Each level is its own contained world, which means you're leveling up what's basically a separate character in each. Gameplay itself is pretty mindless, too -- there are a few special encounters to break things up, but you're pretty much just using a few different abilities over and over against the enemy hordes.</div>

Still, Pocket RPG is plenty of fun, and the game's being updated steadily with new features (not to mention that it comes with full Game Center integration, and it looks particularly great on the iPad). Right now, the title's on sale for just US $4.99, and if you enjoy plumbing through dungeons of all kinds (and come on, who doesn't?), it's an excellent experience.</div>

The particular version that we’re referring to was released with the Samsung Galaxy S2 in mind, although the performance will not be limited to just that particular smartphone. Many are questioning the legal issues this brings up. The user never was asked to sign a contract or was made aware of the consequences of not having official software.<br />

This happens by the user hitting the B&N shop icon, a message then pops up stating “There was a problem with authorization. Please wait while we reset your device.” Then the user is left helpless as their countless purchases, downloads, books and media is all wiped and their NOOKcolor is reset to factory defaults.<br />
