Over at the HTCDEV webpage you’re not able to see every single version of the HTC Sensation, including the Euro version, T-Mobile USA, Turkey, Arabic, and yes, even the Bouygues Telecom version. This along with the HTC EVO 3D make up the entirety of the unlockable bootloader library at HTCDEV. Will you unlock?</div>

I think you’ll recall quite well the first time you saw the news that HTC was unlocking bootloaders, especially if you’re the sort of person who likes to gain root on their Android device, this unlocking a whole collection of abilities you’d not otherwise quite have access to. The HTC Sensation too is an ultimately awesome device on it’s own, our review of the Sensation 4G being no less than a triple thumbs up, if you know what I mean. Now what will you do with your device when you get deep inside its guts?</div>

As you may realize already, the Sensation has had the CyanogenMod 7 team working on it for some time. Unlocking the bootloader will allow developers from the deepest pits of creation to access the innards of the device and create a wholly new device from the source should they desire. What is even better is this new HD powerhouse smartphone may see a global release according to some leaked information. The SE Nozomi first leaked back a few weeks ago and even though it probably wont have a dual-core processor the rest of the hardware specs sure look impressive.</div>

If the leaked details are to be believed the Nozomi will have a 1.4 Ghz Qualcomm S2 single-core processor, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, as well as a 4.3″ HD display with a 1280x720p resolution. We’ve seen that listed on a lot of devices over the past few weeks so most likely it’s coming, and soon.</div>

The initial details on this phone were slating it for an early fall launch over in Japan but thanks to a few leaked tips, it is not said to be launching this fall in Japan but also will see a global release. The model numbers listed above (LT26i/LT26a) appear to be two different models that may end up launching in the U.S. with different frequencies and on two separate carriers. Sony hasn’t launched a lot of Android devices statewide but things may soon be changing.</div>

The term slippery slope is banded about all too often, but this time it's justified. This is not a case of a firm being ordered to stop breaking the law. It's a firm being ordered to stop<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" mce_name="em" mce_style="font-style: italic;" style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.5;">other people</span>breaking the law. Today it's BT and Newzbin2; tomorrow, inevitably, it'll be other ISPs and other websites.</div>

Worried yet? Let's ratchet things up a notch. How about ISPs being ordered to block sites that break the law in other countries? As The Guardian reports, a court ruling about<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" mce_name="em" mce_style="font-style: italic;" style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia,'Bitstream Charter',serif; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.5;">Star Wars</span><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>costumes opens the door for English people and organisations to face legal action for breaking other countries' copyright laws.</div>

It'd be funny if it weren't so serious: anyone with even a passing knowledge of how piracy works knows that going after specific sites is a giant game of whack-a-mole. But there's more to this than piracy. Blocking copyright infringement sets a dangerous precedent.</div>

The BT ruling is worrying because it turns ISPs into censors, and of course copyright infringement isn't the only kind of content people would like to block.</div>

We've had calls to ban sites that espouse extreme political views, sites that promote anorexia, sites that discuss ways to commit suicide. If BT can block Usenet archives, why can't it block everything that anybody thinks is unpleasant or undesirable - like WikiLeaks, or anti-Scientology sites, or anything that isn't appropriate for under-fives?</div>

Crazy? Look at Australia, where child-protecting politicians seriously proposed an outright ban on all online content that wasn't suitable for children. If it wasn't behind an age verification system, the politicians said, ISPs should block it completely.</div>

As we reported in PC Plus: "Such mandatory filtering would be based on the ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) blacklist, which, if the leaked version posted on Wikileaks is genuine, includes a dental surgery, a dog kennel and a travel agency."</div>

The legislation has been delayed on the grounds that it's completely bloody insane, but it may still make its way to the statute books in 2013.</div>
