While this isn’t anything major, it’s one more step closer to us actually seeing and owning this awesome device. For those that might not remember much about the HTC Vigor, it will be the replacement for the HTC Thunderbolt over on Verizon Wireless. That alone should get you excited.</div>

In case you didn’t see the original details it was first leaked here and later confirmed to be an HTC device headed to Verizon with 4G LTE. It will sport a high resolution 1280x720p HD display that is at least 4.3″ or bigger, will have a 1.5 Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor and come with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread at launch.</div>

That isn’t the last of it though, we’ve recently spotted it on a leaked Verizon roadmap but that didn’t get us many details other than confirming it was coming soon. It was this full roadmap leak that tells us all about what Verizon has planned ahead. If you look closely we see the HTC Vigor is slated for an early October launch, and will be replacing the highly popular HTC Thunderbolt. We are expecting a pretty awesome device to knock off the flagship 4G LTE phone from Verizon, but we’ll have to wait and see.</div>

For end of lifers it appears the Droid 2 and Motorola Citrus are both soon being added to the EOL list along with a few other less important feature phones. We also see the Droid 3 is back-ordered and users might have a hard time finding it in stock for purchase.</div>

Other reports are suggesting that along with the Droid 3 Verizon is also seeing a shortage of devices for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 as well as the Continuum. The Droid 3 may or may not be selling well, especially with the Bionic on the way so they might have just not ordered enough. The Galaxy Tab is the first 4G LTE tablet and is probably been pretty hard to keep on the shelves. Then we have that Samsung Continuum (who named it anyways), I’m surprised this isn’t on the EOL list already because I don’t think I’ve actually ever seen one in public, but that’s just me.</div>

Both the Wifi Galaxy Tab 10.1 as well as the original 7″ are not completely out yet but they are seeing constraints on their inventory. If you’ve been eying either of those tablets you might want to hurry and buy one before they are all sold out.</div>

How about an Android device by the name of Skytex Primer Pocket? It’s certainly not the most magnificent device you’ve ever beheld, it having a 4.3-inch 480 x 272 pixel resolution multi-touch resistive touch panel LCD display, a 600 MHz MIPS Xburst processor with a 400MHz DSP for video playback, and Android 2.2 Froyo onboard. On the other hand, think of how awesome this little number would have seemed a year or two ago!</div>

Today though, such a tiny and woefully underpowered device is doomed to fail – though I wouldn’t mind having one for free just to fiddle around with. You can purchase this device today for $89 USD from Abe’s of Maine if you like, this apparently being $10 less than the Skytex group had originally announced the “tablet” as being. Skytex is indeed calling this device a “media tablet”, and I suppose there’s no reason why they shouldn’t, as a tablet, last I hear the Viewsonic company define it at MWC 2011, was anything bigger than 4-inches.</div>

What's more, this particular model isn't just WiFi-only like the current Galaxy Tab 10.1 -- it also sports 3G connectivity, and the bands specified in the FCC filing indicate that it's likely headed to AT&T. Interestingly, we've already seen this model number (GT-P7300) pop up at the FCC before, at which point we thought it was the WiFi + 3G version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. But the more detailed sketch in this latest filing seems to depict a device that's both smaller and ever so slightly tweaked (including a relocated headphone jack), so it would seem to indeed be the 8.9 after all.</div>

Samsung Series 5 Google Chromebook hits the UK on Friday

AT&T has promised to launch several new WiFi spots in the coming months, and it's starting off with new zones of connectivity in New York's Times Square, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral -- all major tourist traps. Times Square already boasts free AT&T WiFi (lauched in May) but it's making the area larger as part of its new initiative. The company has also announced that it plans to launch free WiFi spots in San Francisco as well, starting with the Embarcadero Center, sometime later this year. The embellished Times Square WiFi and the two new zones will launch "in the coming days," which we know isn't very specific but hey: it's the best we can do.
