How to Lubricate a Computer Case Fan

<P>Disconnect all cables from the computer.</P><P>Open the computer's case as instructed by the manufacturer.</P><P>Unscrew each of the fan's four corner screws and remove the fan from the case.</P><P>Detach the fan's power cable.</P><P>Locate the sticker in the center of the fan on one side.</P><P>Peel the sticker off slowly until the small round plug is completely uncovered. Do not peel the sticker off completely.</P><P>Pry up the plug to reveal a hole. Inside this hole are the fan's bearings.</P><P>Drop one to two drops of mineral oil into the hole using an eyedropper.</P><P>Spin the fan through several revolutions with your finger to coat the bearings.</P><P>Reinsert the plug.</P><P>Press the sticker back down over the hole. It should stick by itself.</P><P>Screw the fan back into case. Reconnect the fan's power cable.</P><P>Close the case and reconnect all cables.</P>
