The Archos ARNOVA 7 tablet that runs off the Google Android operating system certainly made heads turn with its $99 price point, but barely three months into the lifecycle, Archos decided that the time is ripe for an update to be introduced into this particular model. FCC filings have shown off an upcoming device known as the ARNOVA 7b G2 – where it is open season to speculate just what the “G2″ suffix in the naming convention means. Some say it stands for “Generation 2”, where label photos of the device’s back point towards a new and curved design which differs a wee bit from the original ARNOVA 7, as that model came with flat sides, a tapered top and bottom.
Apart from that, the FCC filings do not reveal other additional things about the device apart from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Do you think that Archos will retain the sub-$100 price point for the updated ARNOVA 7 when it is released?,
