I Can't Connect to eFax

Open a Web browser.

Attempt to connect to the eFax website. If you receive a "Page Cannot Be Displayed Message," proceed to Step 3. If you can now connect to eFax, the problem has been resolved.

Attempt to connect to a few other Internet sites. If you can connect to other websites, but not eFax , proceed to Step 4. If you can't connect to any websites, proceed to the "Windows Firewall" section or "Other Firewalls" section of this article depending on your firewall application.

Contact eFax. After having ruled out Internet connectivity, the problem could be with the eFax website. Call eFax at 800-958-2983 to report the problem. EFax will advise you if its website is down or further troubleshoot why you can't connect to eFax .

Open the Windows Security Center. Click "Start," then click "All Programs." Click "Accessories" and select "System Tools." Click "Security Center." The Windows Security Center application will open.

Access the Window's Firewall. Select "Windows Firewall" from the Windows Security Center Window.

Disable the Windows Firewall. Select "Off" in the Windows Firewall application to turn off the firewall and then click "OK."

Attempt to connect to the eFax website. If you can now connect to the eFax website, the computer's firewall was blocking the previous attempts and the firewall will need to be reconfigured to unblock connections to eFax .

Attempt to connect to several other Internet sites. If you can't connect to any websites, proceed to Step 7. If you can connect to other websites, but not eFax , proceed to Step 6.

Contact eFax. The eFax website may be down. Call eFax at 800-958-2983 to report the problem. Efax will tell you if its website is down or troubleshoot why you can't connect to eFax .

Contact your Internet service provider to report that you have no Internet connectivity. The service provider will advise you if there is an outage in your area or open a repair ticket to have your Internet connection examined.
