Open the Web page you want to exclude from Google's cache in an editing program. You can use a visual editing application such as Dreamweaver or FrontPage, or a text editor such as Notepad or Wordpad.
Select the "Code" or "HTML" editing option if you use a visual editing program. This switches the application out of its point-and-click design mode and instead shows you the HTML code that defines the content and structure of the page. If you use a text editor you may skip this step.
Look to the top of the document and locate the opening tag. Click at the end of this tag and press the "Enter" key to create a blank line.
Copy and paste the following code onto the blank line:
This code allows Google's crawling tool to index the content of the page, while preventing it from storing an archived copy in its cache.
Click "File" in the top menu bar and select "Save" to confirm the change.
Upload the updated page to your website, using either an FTP client or a Web-based uploading tool. The next time Google's crawling tool accesses the page it will remove the existing cached copy from its index.
