There is usually no or very little privacy as such involved in it. A private cloud on the other hand, is usually a proprietary network, or a data center that provides hosted services to a restricted number of people. When a service provider uses public cloud resources, to create a private cloud, the result is often called a virtual private cloud or a hybrid.

Cloud Computing offers a significant amount of potential benefits but at the same time a balance has to be maintained on the downsides of using this technology such as diminished privacy and control of your data.
