And how they suggested the promise of a glorious 3D entertainment future? Well, it seems that they still might do. That's according to Australian VR headset developers over at <a href="http://www.vrs.com.au/">VR Solutions</A> VR Simulation trade show Michael Bosworth, Managing Director at VR Solutions recently attended the VR simulation trade show, I/ITSEC 2010 in Orlando to see what they had on offer. Bosworth informs TechRadar that one of his suppliers - Virginia-based <a href="http://nvisinc.com/index.php">NVIS</A> virtual reality display manufacturers - showing their latest tech at this month's VR event – were showing the way forward for virtual reality tech. "As a supplier to partners working for the Australian army and various training facilities across Asia, we are always looking to work closely with innovative manufacturers such as NVIS who are able to tailor or deliver products for their intended purpose," the VR tech expert said. Mark Foglia, President, NVIS Inc noted that, for their part, they have "enjoyed working with VR Solutions since 2002 and we're very excited to see them again at I/ITSEC 2010 and introduce them to our new products." Might we see virtual reality make something of a comeback in the consumer technology sphere in 2011? We certainly hope so…

Boasting an AMD Athlon II Neo dual-core processor and feature the Acer clear.fi application that allows easy media sharing, this is a computer built for the living room and not the office. "Slim and elegant, the Acer Revo 100 is graced by a contemporary design and matte black finish, the Acer Revo 100 may be used on its removable vertical stand or be placed horizontally in a Consumer Electronic appliance tradition," stated Acer. RevoPad "Nicely concealed within its lean body is the innovative RevoPad, a dual-mode wireless touchpad. Press the toggle button to transform the RevoPad into a touch keyboard to easily type any amount of text with your fingers," the company added. The Acer Revo 100 also boasts Nvidia Ion graphics, an internal TV tuner and can come with either a DVD or a Blu-ray player (for mo' monty of course). The computer supports up to 4GB of DDR3, and storage up to 750GB, and had Windows Home Premium. The basic model starts at £599.99 and, guess what, prices increase as you up the specs.

Notion Ink CEO Rohan Shravan, makers of Android tablet devices, has strongly hinted that the platform is set to debut soon on his <a href="http://notionink.wordpress.com/2010/12/04/week-end-special-xi/">company blog</A>: "6th December is another big day for Android and you will find out how fast Notion Ink can work. (Eden is extremely compatible with 2.3)", which hints strongly that we're about to see more information on the new OS any time soon. And what better time to do it than when Google's VP of engineering, Andy Rubin, takes to the stage at the D: Dive into Mobile conference? Unveiled at a press conference before the Computex Taipei 2011 show, they offer some impressive specs. The Maximum CPU Power that Gigabyte offers not only has Dual CPU power and the company's own DualBIOS 3TB+ HDD technology, and a new addition to the Ultra Durable 3 features the company have made into a signature – Driver MOSFETs. There are also all the USB ports anyone could want, with eight 2.0 ports and a staggering 10 USB 3.0 ports, all with 3x USB power. A more efficient platform The new Series 6 motherboards will all have the Voltage Regulator Down specification. This uses an Intel qualified Intersil PWM controller that offers SerialVID (SVID) for transfering power management information between the processor and voltage regulator controller. The improves the signalling control between the PWM controller and the CPU, giving more energy efficient platform. Tim Handley, Gigabyte's Deputy Director of Motherboard Marketing, said: "CPU power design improvements on the 6 series motherboards include the Intel VRD 12 approved Intersil PWM controller chip, as well as high quality Driver MOSFETs that ensure better efficiency with first class system performance and stability."
