Obviously this can be speculated when a company as big as HTC is so successful with smartphones but we are getting details that they’ve even been discussing this “internally” according to sources.</div>

We heard rumors last year regarding a similar situation where there was mention of their own OS but that was about it. Now, HTC chairwoman Cher Wang has said a few comments regarding this again according to Focus Taiwan.</div>

Obviously with such huge potential and an ever growing mobile market they are probably open to some sort of purchase. We have heard rumors regarding HP’s Web OS and those are starting to appear more and more recently now that HP has canceled that little project. We have heard reports that HP has no plans to sell Web OS but you never know what the future holds.</div>

HTC has a unique position because they can potentially use any OS they want as they’ve developed and improved their highly popular Sense UI into many different platforms such as Windows Mobile, Android, and now Honeycomb too. HTC’s Sense is a very complex and thought out user interface with many integrations that make it able to stand on its own. With cloud gaming, streaming media with HTC Live, HTC Watch and Onlive they have more to offer than most. Whether they’d leave their current cash crop, Android behind is another story and something I doubt we’ll see for a while if ever.</div>

While HTC doesn’t have a single OS of their own to focus on, their Sense UI is as close to one as any user interface will ever be and have plenty of work regarding that and Android. As long as HTC’s amazing build quality and innovation keeps up with Android I see nothing but good things ahead and I’m sure they do too.</div>
