We already knew Guy Kawasaki would be giving the keynote, but add to that more focused talks by Daniel Jalkut, Aaron Hillegass, Andy Ihnatko, Justin McWilliams, TUAW alum Justin Esgar. Many more will be there imparting their wisdom in an extensive lineup of sessions.</div>

July 29, 2011 -- Westlake Village, CA -- MacTech Conference for Apple Developers and IT Pros, November 2-4, 2011 in Los Angeles, has released its speaker and session list, as well as many details of the conference. Keynote speaker Guy Kawasaki will open MacTech Conference 2011: a three-day, information-packed event that will have sessions and activities throughout the day and evening. This immersion conference is hotel-based, giving attendees the opportunity to not only learn from the best, but get to meet new people and spend time with their peers. MacTech Conference has two separate tracks: one focused on programming/development, and one focused on IT/Enterprise. Sessions will focus on both desktop and mobile with appropriate levels of attention paid to the Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod. The conference will kick off with a keynote by Guy Kawasaki at 10am on Wednesday, Nov. 2. "We're thrilled to have Guy as our keynote speaker. <br/><p style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" border="0" class="aligncenter" height="167" src="http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/2084/thedailytweetsdeclining.jpg" style="border: 0px initial initial;" width="318" /></p><br/>The Nieman Journalism Lab reports that social sharing from iPad news app The Daily is falling precipitously, according to data from a firm called PostRank. Social sharing is when users share content on networks like Twitter or Facebook; the average number of pieces shared from The Daily on Twitter has fallen from over 200 to under 50 in just the past few months since its launch.<br/><br/>There's two sides to this. First, these are obviously not actual readership numbers, and just because readers aren't sharing many articles doesn't mean they're not being read. It's also important to remember that The Daily subscriptions run weekly or yearly, so a certain amount of its readers have already paid for a year of content.<br/><br/>However, given that this is one metric of engagement with the fledgling virtual publication, it's probably not a good sign. As Nieman's Joshua Benton says, this follows anecdotal evidence we've heard that the app has been declining despite an early spike in interest. If subscriptions and downloads correlate with these social sharing numbers, The Daily may be in trouble already.
