Even smaller than this group of games is a selection of games that allow you to do so with one futuristic chain gun, much less two, even rarer is a game that allows you to spin in a turret around using your tablet / smartphone’s internal sensors, shooting then with two separately-aimable guns like you’re playing Lucky and Wild! Heavy Gunner is a game that only has one sort of gameplay, basically as all good mobile games should. You’ve got two controllers, both of them virtual joysticks that control giant guns. In the hands-on demo you’re about to see, we’re using the basic chain guns because they’re the easiest to understand instantly. Later you can get some Ender’s Game Doctor Device-type missiles, big missiles, small guns, all manner of weaponry as the game progresses. You’re always on a turret and the controls are always the same.</div>

The waves of enemies increase in difficulty, amount, and diversity. You’ll be addicted to this game instantly should you be a fan of any gunner game in history for the most part, and once you’ve got a hang of the controls, you’ll have one whole heck of a lot of fun. Drawbacks: the swivel controls using your device’s G-sensor, proximity, and etc doesn’t always work perfectly, but it certainly does work.</div>

Now NOTE: Unlike many of the reviews we do here on Android Community, this game has been out for some time. In fact it’s quite a few months ago that this app was released, and in mobile gaming, that’s FOREVER! But this game is still sweet, and it still gets updates, as again, all great games should. This game remains competitive and awesome after several months and that means its a keeper. Go grab it on the Android Market now for a good time with big guns.</div>

In most circumstances, we'd argue a self-illuminating controller crisscrossed by bright bands of orange is a couple of notches over the top, but when it's Tron you're talking about, it all makes sense. This latest peripheral for the 360 is up for pre-order now at $39.99 and comes prepackaged with the smugness of knowing that each one sold will be part of a very limited 250-unit production run. It's officially licensed by Microsoft and arriving at snowy doorsteps some time later this month. A less exclusive blue brother should be joining it soon as well, in case the current hue's not quite to your liking.

Sony's Killzone 3 will not 'alienate' non-3D gamers

<img src="http://cdn.mos.techradar.com//classifications/images/3d%20tv%20lifestyle%20image-%20cropped34-200-200.jpg"><br /><P><EM>Killzone 3</EM> is set to be one of Sony's major 3D games when it releases at some point later next year, although the developer has said that they certainly hope to not alienate gamers that DON'T have 3D TVs or PlayStation Move yet.</P><br /><P>It's a difficult tightrope to walk, particularly for developers of flagship PlayStation titles that try to push the tech envelope – to wow and satiate the desires of both the early adopters, with the latest display tech, as well as the mass market with TVs that may well be five to ten year's old hooked up to their consoles.</P><br /><P>As with other recent and forthcoming Sony PS3 exclusives such as <EM>Gran Turismo 5 </EM>and <EM>Motorstorm Apocalypse, Killzone 3</EM> is a major 'flagship' titles to demonstrate the capabilities of 3D Move-controlled gaming on the PlayStation 3.</P><br /><P><STRONG>The optional extras of 3D and Move</STRONG></P><br /><P>Feted developer Guerrilla's MD Herman Hulst <a href="http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?pager.offset=1&cId=3182759&p" title="">speaking with 1UP</A>, made it clear that he didn't want to make gamers without Move or 3D tech feel unwelcome.</P><br /><P>"3D is a great feature, but it's an option to the game," said Hulst. </P><br /><P>"I don't want people who don't have 3D to have a suboptimal experience... The same with Move. These things are options.</P><br /><P>"They're great options. I think they're here to stay. Just like we moved from mono sound to stereo sound. You wouldn't want to go back after awhile. But you don't force people to buy another transistor radio ... [we] have to listen to the audience in that regard.</P><br /><P>"[We] don't want to alienate the core audience."</P><br /><P>Good to hear such a thoughtful development philosophy from the Guerrilla boss, particularly if you are not yet financially capable of investing in a new 3D TV in early 2011 in anticipation of the PlayStation 3's next slew of major big-hitters.</P>
