Running a 1.2GHz processor, the Optimus Q2′s real draw is the display, which LG says runs at an eye-searing 700 nits.</div>

There’s also WiFi Direct support, Bluetooth and a front-facing video camera. The phone is 12.3mm thick and weighs 147g, and LG says its shrunk down the dimensions of the slide section by 2mm compared to previous smartphones from the company with the same form-factor.</div>

It’s unclear which version of Android is loaded, but LG has done some fiddling with its own UI system. South Korea will be able to pick up the LG Optimus Q2 from next weekend, though there’s no sign of a price or a release date for international markets.</div>

Since this is an official Samsung package, the battery cover has the same texture as the original as well. This reminds me of the extended battery of the HTC ThunderBolt – fatness forever!</div>

How to Display All Files on a Memory Stick

<P>Take off the cap from the memory stick, if it has one.</P><P>Plug the memory stick into your computer's USB drive (on the back or side of your computer) or slide the memory card into the mini drive on the side of your computer. A message will pop up that says "Installing Device Driver" the first time that you plug in the stick.</P><P>A prompt will then pop up called "AutoPlay". Look for the "General Options" icon.</P><P>Click on "Open Folder to View Files (Using Windows Explorer)." A box will pop up showing all the folders and files stored on the memory stick.</P><P>If the "AutoPlay" box does not pop up, click on your computer's "Start" menu and double-click on "Computer." The memory stick will show up in this menu as a "Removable Disk." Double-click on the assigned drive for the memory card to view the files on the card.</P><P>Click on each file folder to view its files. After you click on the folder, the list of files stored in that folder will be displayed. Certain files, not assigned to a folder, will show up separately.</P>

Review: Apple 27-inch Cinema Display

<img src="http://cdn.mos.techradar.com//Review%20images/MacFormat/MAC%20229/MAC229.rev_canon.27cinema_display-200-200.jpg"><br /><P>Apple kit's never cheap, and the Apple 27-inch Cinema Display, stunning though the image is, does little to break that notion. </P><br /><P>At £899 before January's VAT rise, this costs more than an 11-inch MacBook Air, although you do get a heck of a lot more screen space. </P><br /><P>The panel packs in 2560x1440 pixels, which is more than most 27-inch monitors. You can comfortably fit two Safari windows alongside one another, or even a narrow Twitter client, such as Tweetie, Mail or a web page. </P><br /><P>The display has in-plane switching (IPS) as well, so colours remain bright and vivid even at tight viewing angles. The picture is bright and pinsharp – text looks fantastic and you can see every detail in a photo. </P><br /><P>Gradients display well too and there's a clear distinction between 0% and 5% black, as there is between 95% and 100%. Colour gradient bars are smooth, although single-colour consistency isn't as good as we'd hoped for a display of this price. </P><br /><P>We noticed a slightly darker area along the bottom of the panel, especially with the blue pixels. And with the display showing all-black, it looked noticeably lighter towards the bottom. While this happens with most displays and is dependent on your viewing angle, with the Cinema Display sitting normally on our desk, the lighter lower area felt more pronounced. </P><br /><P>And, lest we forget, the screen is glossy. This means the picture looks stunning, but you do get a fair amount of reflection. The solution is to try to position it where you won't get light shining on it, but this won't always be possible, so keep this in mind, especially if you intend to do a lot of graphics work.</P><br /><P>It would have been nice to see Apple offer an antiglare surface, like it does with the 15-inch MacBook Pro. </P><br /><P>As for other features, it's got an iSight camera, mic, three powered USB ports and built-in speakers. And we were impressed by the sound system, which sounded deep, thanks to the built-in sub-woofer. </P><br /><P>All this connects to your Mac via a single cable with three connectors on the end - USB, MagSafe power adapter for MacBooks and a Mini DisplayPort. This means it'll work with most Macs from 2009 or later, including the whole current range. </P><br /><P>But if you're looking to upgrade your monitor and your Mac doesn't have a Mini DisplayPort, you should look elsewhere – getting a converter is costly. The wire's also very short and can't be swapped out for a longer one, so if your Mac Pro tower is under your desk, you may have to fork out for extensions. </P><br /><P><STRONG>Height and cost</STRONG></P><br /><P>But our two biggest complaints? First, the height of the display: it stands slightly lower than the 27-inch iMac and isn't height-adjustable – we had to use a monitor stand (or a stack of books) to make it ergonomically comfortable, which rather spoils the whole look. </P><br /><P>Second, there's the little matter of price. £899 is a serious amount of money for a display, especially when you can pick up a decent 27-inch LED display for under £400, though admittedly with fewer pixels. </P><br /><P>But we'll leave you with this little nugget: at the time of writing, there was a 27-inch iMac on the Apple Refurb Store for £1,169 – so at just £270 more, you could bag a fully fledged computer instead.</P>

Now, a Taiwanese news website DigiTimes has noted that Apple will be adding five new features in the iPad 2 according to a source who tipped the information to Economic Daily News, a Chinese-language news paper. These features include Retina display, front facing camera for FaceTime, USB Port, and smaller form factor. <BR><BR>Now we know you're slowly getting mad at us for writing too much about Apple who doesn't bother launching the iPad in India. However, there is no harm in staying abreast with developments that might help instead of staying aloof. Rumor mills and spin doctors are already speculating the theories that Apple will show off in a smaller 7-inch iPad 2 sometime early next year. Also, this new iPad would be slimmer than the current generation one as per Apple's patent application. So we can expect a form-factor of anything between 7-inch to 9-inch. <BR><BR>In the iPad 2, Apple would be using Retina Display technology with thinner glass panels. The IPS-panel technology based Retina glass is a bit costly but they improve the color and image quality. Hence, expect that part to add up to the total price of the iPad. <BR><BR>Industry based component makers also stated that Apple would be adding a USB port to make the iPad 2 more connection friendly. This kind of contradicts Apple CEO Steve Jobs' response to an Apple product fan - We don't see USB 3 taking off at this time. No support from Intel, for example. So instead, we can expect USB 2.0 in iPad 2. Sounds like some cryptic chronology - USB 2.0 in iPad 2 and may be USB 3.0 in iPad 3. That's Apple for you.<BR><BR>For the gaming frenzy folks, Apple will add 3-axis gyroscopic sensors to enhance the possible gaming experience. Finally, Apple will add a camera in the front panel to enable FaceTime which is already available to iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 devices. Once again, I'd like to point out that these are just preliminary buzzes you'll hear till the actual product is shown off.</P>

Samsung Might Show Continuum with Ticker Display

Amidst the rumors that the Nexus Two is <a href="http://www.techtree.com/India/News/Samsung_Might_Unveil_New_Android_Phone_on_Nov_8/551-113253-893.html" target="_blank">arriving soon</A>, Phone Arena caught hold of Samsung Continuum SGH-i400 smartphone that runs Android and has twin display. <BR><BR>As eWeek <a href="about:www.eweek.com/c/a/Mobile-and-Wireless/Samsung-Continuum-Not-Google-Nexus-Two-on-Tap-189627/" target="_blank">reported</A>, Samsung won't be launching purported Nexus Two later today since it's been rumored to be facing serious hardware issues. TechCrunch also confirms that no Nexus Two would be <a href="http://techcrunch.com/2010/11/05/google-nexus-two-hardware-issue-delays-launch/" target="_blank">launched</A> at the Samsung Event held today because the phone has faced some serious hardware problems. <BR><BR>Samsung is expected to introduce new SGH-i400 Continuum smartphone with two Super AMOLED display. The Continuum will have a 3.4-inch main display that offers 480x800 pixel WVGA resolution. There's also a strip like Ticker Display right at the bottom of the main display. The 1.8-inch Ticker Display offers 96x480 pixel resolution. <BR><BR><BR><BR><img align="baseline" border="0" hspace="0" src="/113388continuum.jpg"></P><BR><BR>Now if we take a look good look at the invite that showed Stock Market figures, the Ticker Display in Continuum makes much more sense now. Grip Sensor on the either side of the phone is to be used to wake up the phone from standby mode. <BR><BR>Continuum is Galaxy S based phone and hence will have the same 1GHz Humming bird processor and will run Android 2.1 with TouchWiz 3.0 interface.
