Then perhaps $349.99 will be a bit more to your liking. While there's still no indication of a release date, Frys.com is now accepting pre-orders for the device at that price, which is presumably not a mistake. Of course, the device itself is identical to the regular Galaxy Tab apart from that "wifi-only" bit, including the same 7-inch display, 16GB of storage, and Android 2.2 with Flash 10.1 support. Those willing to sign a contract will soon be able to get a 3G model for even less, however, with Sprint now set to offer the Tab for a mere $200 on a two-year contract.

Vodafone opens up HTC Desire S pre-orders

The HTC Desire S will be available for no additional cost on the company's £30, two-year plan which includes 600 minutes, unlimited texts and half a gig of mobile data. According to TechRadar's HTC Desire S review, the phone is worthy of consideration, picking up four stars and earning praise for its slick UI and great call quality. But... However, the review did suggest alternatives, adding: "we can't help but have our gaze drawn to the HTC Incredible S and the Samsung Galaxy S2." Vodafone has also announced that it will be offering the Samsung-built Google Nexus S in either its original black chassis or an exclusive white version. That phone will be available for no extra cost on the £35 a month, two-year plan with 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of mobile data. The ebook reader offers touchscreen controls, and supports a number of file formats including EPUB, PDF, TXT, FB2 and DJVU. It has a USB port for transferring content on to it and an SD card slot is also on board. When it comes to extra features, the iRiver Cover Story can display Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents and you can also look at image files on the device. Cry me an iRiver The iRiver Cover Story has been updated, so it is lighter than previous models. The screen on the e-reader is six inches in size and offers 600 x 800 resolution. Unlike Sony's touchscreen ebook, the iRiver Cover Story has Wi-Fi connectivity and it comes with an email client, so you can check your mail on the go. The Wi-FI Cover Story (EB05W) is available to pre-order now exclusively through Waterstones.com and is priced at £149.
