Searcheeze is a new search curation tool that has just come out of private beta. Co-founded by Stefano Passatadori and Flavio Gambardella, the Italy-based startup was originally unveiled a couple of years ago as Ibrii. 
With two years worth of feedback under their belts, the co-founders took Ibrii and reformatted it to create Searcheeze,  a service which made it as a finalist in European Demo Day in San Franciso this past July. 
Searcheeze allows you to collect images, text and video from around the web, and save them to an online account, much like Evernote does. The difference between Evernote and Searcheeze is the fact that the latter is focused on giving users a collaborative experience when it comes to searching for and saving content from the web. 
After signing up for a free account you can begin to create new topics. You have the choice of making these topics public or private, as well as inviting other users to contribute. Invitations can be sent via email or Facebook. 
To actually populate your topic, you can install the handy bookmarklet which allows you to drag text, images, audio clips and video into the Searcheeze sidebar.

You can also add text of your own through the web interface, as well as add captions to each item you save.

Just as you can drag and drop items into the Searcheeze sidebar, you can also drag and drop them within the sidebar to rearrange their order, as well as in the web interface.

The final page, which you can share publicly or keep private will feature all of your shared items in a sleek, clean grid, which is very easy to read.

Each text item will have it’s own box, accompanied by the link where the text came from and the date it was saved. Videos are each displayed in their own box on the page. In our experience YouTube videos didn’t play nice with Searcheeze, but we had no trouble adding Vimeo videos to our collection.

So why would you use a tool like Searcheeze over Evernote? While Evernote allows you to publicly share your notes, you can only allow others to modify content if you are a premium user. Searcheeze gives you this feature for free. And as far as aesthetics are concerned, Searcheeze definitely sprints ahead of Evernote, as the final product looks far better. 
Needless to say Evernote’s overall features are far more robust than Searcheeze, but the service addresses one issue in particular – making it easy for a team to contribute to any given topic. 
Comparisons to Evernote aside, Searcheeze is an ideal tool for teams working on a project and need to be able to share information from around the web in a quick and easy way. For private users, it can easily be used as an online scrapbook of sorts, or online bookmarking alternative, allowing you to save clippings from all over the web, in neat organized topics.

Three out of four BitTorrent based The Pirate Bay founders were charged guilty of contributory copyright infringement by the Swedish Appeals court reported TorrentFreak. The court has reduced the prison tenure but increased the amount payable as damages to the entertainment industries. Three out of four Pirate Bay Founders - Peter Sunde, Fredik Neij and Carl Lundstroem are now equally liable for total damages worth $6.5 millions from initial $4.6 millions. Last year in April, the Pirate Bay founders - Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg and Carl Lundstrom were found guilty for copyright infringement under Swedish law through The Pirate Bay website. The music label lawyers were successful in proving that these four people helped in sharing copyright bearing multimedia files. Eventually all four guys were declared guilty and sentenced year each in jail. All four were equally liable to pay $4.6 millions as damages. The Pirate Bay is BitTorrent file tracker heaven for the online sharing of music, videos, movies, software and other files. Four Vikings argued that the Pirate Bay was merely a search engine. But infact the Torrent files offered that can be used by BitTorrent client software to download the entire file.  After the April verdict, the appeals trials took place in Sept. and Oct. duration. Svea Appeals Court announced its decision of upholding the Appeals of three founders. As per the court s decision prison sentences of Peter Sunde is eight months, Fredrik Neij is 10 months and Carl Lundstroem is four months. Court stated that the Pirate Bay has facilitated illegal file-sharing in a way that results in criminal liability for those who run the service. For the three defendants the court of appeal believes it is proven that they participated in these activities in different ways and to varying degrees. Warg s appeal trial is yet to take place because he was suffering from illness and hence couldn't be part of this trail.   There, there. These four men aren t related to The Pirate Bay anymore so nothing will happen to the site. Peter Sunde did share the plans of appealing to Supreme Court as soon as possible. It's not over yet.

Fredrik Nej, Peter Sunde and Carl Lundstrom found out this week that they are still to be charged for running a site that <a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/internet/official-pirate-bay-have-lost-592928">advocates illegal file-sharing</A>. While the sentences of the men have been slightly reduced (Neij's sentence is now 10 months, Sunde's eight months and Lundstrom's four months) all of the convicted will have to pay higher fines. The fine that has to be paid has risen from $4.57 million to $6.57 million. Fine is final "The appeals court, like the district court, finds that the service Pirate Bay has facilitated illegal file sharing in a way which is punishable for those who carried out the service," said the court's statement. The Pirate Party believes that the court ruling will have no effect on the website, saying: "This doesn't mean anything for The Pirate Bay and it doesn't mean anything for similar sites. "File sharing is increasing every day and the only thing this means is that more and more people will try to hide what they are doing on the internet." Despite the high fines it is unlikely Sony BMG, Universal Music, EMI and Warner Brothers will see the money. Back <a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/internet/15-memorable-quotes-from-the-pirate-bays-peter-sunde-676735">in March</A>, Sunde said about the fines: "Nobody is going to pay anything – there is no money to pay. Nobody is interested in just giving money away to big corporations that are just greedy and stupid."
