RIM is offering business customers a completely free BlackBerry PlayBook... when they buy two.<br />
The 'Back to Business' promotion, which RIM says is aimed at kitting-out small businesses with PlayBooks will run from now until December 31st 2011.<br />
The somewhat desperate attempt to shift some of RIM's over-flowing PlayBook inventory will include three free accessories per tablet.<br />
Buyers will get a 6ft HDMI cable, a black leather sleeve and a charging pot absolutely gratis.<br />

Software update delayed</h4>
The 'special offer' comes after RIM revealed, this week, that it would be delaying a much needed PlayBook software update until February 2012.<br />
The PlayBook is yet to gain a native email application, while the long-promised Android app player remains a pipedream.<br />

Week to forget</h4>
All-in-all, it has been another week to forget for the Canadian giant.<br />
The software delays caused stocks to crash once again, while on Wednesday night it was hit with a class action lawsuit over the internet services outage which left millions without BBM and email earlier this month.<br />
Tech Radar has contacted RIM to ascertain where this offer extends to UK businesses.<br />

This game's title isn't just cheeky -- it's pretty literal. A Game With Balls definitely has lots of balls in it -- you play as a sort of cannon that shoots balls, and there are various balls and other shapes slowly floating down the screen towards you. The balls you fire have a little bit of weight to them, and so it's a physics action game as you try to shoot away the invading shapes with your own ammo.</div>

The title's not bad, though it gets a little repetitive -- "beating" each stage basically just requires you to sit there shooting for as long as possible, so while there are separate mechanics for each of the four stages (or themes, as they're called -- each one has a different graphical look and feel), there's really just the one premise to play with. Still, the physics work well, and the graphics are solid and well-done, so if you want a little something fun to whittle away the time, this one's worth a look.</div>

A Game With Balls is out now for only US 99 cents as a universal app. There is full Game Center integration, and the developers promise more content is coming soon.</div>

<div>For years now, researchers have been exploring ways to create devices that understand the nonverbal cues that we take for granted in human-human interaction. One of the more interesting projects we've seen of late is led by Professor Peter Robinson at the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, who is working on what he calls "mind-reading machines," which can infer mental states of people from their body language. By analyzing faces, gestures, and tone of voice, it is hoped that machines could be made to be more helpful (hell, we'd settle for "less frustrating"). Peep the video after the break to see Robinson using a traditional (and annoying) satnav device, versus one that features both the Cambridge "mind-reading" interface <i>and</i> a humanoid head modeled on that of Charles Babbage. "The way that Charles and I can communicate," Robinson says, "shows us the future of how people will interact with machines." Next stop: uncanny valley!</div>

Exclusive: 'Highly unlikely' action will be taken against Twitter Joke Trial tweets

<img src="http://cdn.mos.techradar.com///classifications/people/struan_robertson-200-200.jpg"><br /><P>TechRadar has spoken to Struan Robertson, editor of Out-Law.com and Legal Director of Pinsent Masons LLP, about the <a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/internet/twitter-joke-trial-appeal-comes-back-with-guilty-verdict-907516">Twitter Joke Trial</A> and he believes that it is unlikely those repeating Paul Chamber's original 'terrorist' tweet will face prosecution.</P><br /><P>At the time of writing this, the current top trending topic in the UK is <a href="http://twitter.com/#%21/search/%23iamspartacus">#IAmSpartacus</A>, a hashtag that <a href="http://www.techradar.com/news/internet/twitter-joke-trial-sparks-i-am-spartacus-uprising-907709">thousands of users</A> have applied to Paul Chamber's original tweet, which landed him with a criminal record this week.</P><br /><P>Robertson explained to TechRadar that "It's highly unlikely that action will be taken against those repeating what Chambers tweeted.</P><br /><P>"While lots of people saw Chambers's original tweet as a joke that, at worst, was in bad taste, the prosecutor and the judge clearly didn't. They saw it as criminally menacing. </P><br /><P><STRONG>Big payout</STRONG></P><br /><P>Robertson continued: "I can't see a prosecutor taking action over the retweeters, though. Aside from the profile of this protest, the retweeters arguably make clear their satirical intent by using the Spartacus hashtag."</P><br /><P>The <a href="http://www.out-law.com/page-11545">Out-Law.com</A> editor does warn, however, that those using the hashtag aren't completely safe from the law, saying: "It's worth noting that you don't avoid responsibility for a message just because you're repeating what somebody else said. </P><br /><P>"A person who retweets a libellous message could themselves be sued for libel – and if they have more followers than the original author, they could be facing the bigger payout."</P><br /><P>This may be food for thought for all the celebrities who have jumped on the Twitter Joke Trial bandwagon.</P>
