Pinnacle Studio 10 Features

Avid introduced the Pinnacle Studio 10 video editing software in 2005. The company developed this program as a hybrid response to the success of Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus and the professional Pinnacle Studio Liquid Edition. The first five versions of the product experienced a variety of installation issues, such as lengthy stalls and excessive crashing. Pinnacle Studio 10.6 finally overcame these problems and optimized the software's "Capture," "Edit" and "Make Movie" features.CapturingPinnacle Studio 10 can capture widescreen or standard video from camcorders, DVDs and VCRs. The software previews and controls video in real time while automatically creating thumbnails for use later in the editing process. Pinnacle Studio 10 can import digital video files from your hard drive using the software's "Add Files" feature. The "Capture" panes constantly displays the amount of free hard drive space available.EditingPinnacle Studio 10's "Edit" pane's sub-menus offer a variety of creative and technical movie-making options, including over 100 scene transitions. Pinnacle Studio 10's keyframing controls can manipulate the frame-by-frame characteristics of any effect, allowing you to change its inherent properties. You can add video, audio and text to a project, and render them for preview, by simply dragging and dropping them into the editing timeline. Pinnacle Studio renders video in the background while you're working, reducing the time needed to output your movie into its final format.SmartMoviePinnacle Studio 10's SmartMovie and SmartSound can create a fully-edited movie out of a set of video clips. SmartMovie creates a movie project from a set of clips according to your specifications, while SmartSound adds a soundtrack to the movie. Drag and drop the media into Pinnacle Studio 10 and select a SmartMovie style like "Music Video" or "Montage." The software will automatically edit the clips together using the chosen style. You can edit the SmartMovie on the timeline after it's finished.EffectsPinnacle Studio 10 features more than 50 special effects, including Fast/Slow Motion, Video Enhancement, Pam-and-Zoom, Automatic Color Correction, Image Stabilization, Analog Cleaner and Image Correction.
