How to Wire a RS232 Loopback Adapter

<P>Remove 1/2 cm of the protective jacket from the ends of each wire using the wire stripper tool.</P><P>Plug in the soldering iron and let it heat up for five minutes. Find the small numbers printed on the back of the nine-pin connector next to each pin. Position a wire on pins 1 and 4 at the back of the nine-pin connector. Position a second wire to pins 4 and 6 at the back of the nine-pin connector. Note that each wire connects to pin 4. Solder the two wires to the pins.</P><P>Position a wire on pins 2 and 3 at the back of the nine-pin connector. Position a wire on pins 7 and 8 at the back of the nine-pin connector. Solder the wire ends to the pins.</P>
