The device mixes some of the standard features of today’s superphones, 4G WiMax and a front facing camera specifically. Most of the other specs are very bland. Clearly as technology progresses so does our definition of high end. Let’s start with a break-down of these very confusing specs. A 3.5″ HVGA screen, with a 3.2 MP camera makes it looks low end, but WiMax and a 1.3 MP front facing camera tell another story. Throw in a single core 1 GHz processor, and you’re smack in the middle of no man’s land. This comes as another in line of Samsung mid range Android phones. Android offers a much wider price range then other smartphone platforms with devices ranging from $0 to $300 (with contracts). Samsung is the manufacturer with one of the widest ranges. It looks like Samsung is convinced that there is plenty of money to be made by offering as big a range as possible, and apparently there was a gap between the Galaxy S II and the next level down.

The term "software" is not a recently conceived of word. In his 1935 essay, 'Computable Numbers with an Application to the Entscheidungs Problem,' Alan Turing first proposed and provided the foundation for most modern software. In 1958, the first use of the term software was used by John W. Tukey in an article in American Mathematical Monthly.Today, the the term 'computer software' means written programs, rules, or codes, along with related documentation regarding the operation of a computer system that is stored in read/write memory. The "soft" part of software refers to the many products and technologies developed using different methods such as programming languages and scripting languages. The term 'software' is broader and can include different types of devices such as the operation systems of modern consumer devices such as automobiles, televisions, toasters, etc.Computer software is the job descriptions of what a computer can perform. It cannot be physically touched. For instance, most computers come with software already installed. Software is also available on CD where the user inserts the disk into the hard drive and follows the installation instructions.  As well, downloadable software is available on internet sites such as Microsoft. Computer software is basically a series of instructions that tells a computer how to do a particular job. For example, Microsoft Word is an example of computer software. As well, web page technologies such as HTML, PHP, ASP.NET, and XML are examples of computer software. Computer software can be divided into two main categories: operating system software and application software.Operating System (0/S): This system consists of the basic functions that computers perform. An example would be showing movement on a screen such as a mouse cursor was the user moves the mouse. Examples of operating systems include: windows vista, windows xp, Mac, Linux and Unix.Application Software: These are applications that allow the computer to perform the job. Application software is used to accomplish precise tasks other than just running the computer system.  This can include voice, play or record music, view videos, play video games--etc. Other examples of application software include permitting access to the internet and printing documents. Application software is the software that indirectly interacts with the computer.System Software is the software that can directly interact with computer hardware. Examples include motherboard, CPU, keyboard, Mouse, printer--etc. System software is responsible for controlling, integrating, and managing the individual hardware components of a computer system.Computer software is composed of machine language which is essentially groups of binary code giving processor instructions that are specific to an individual processor. It is normally written in high-level programming languages and then interpreted into machine language code. Software can also be written in assembly language which is a mnemonic representation of a machine language using a natural language alphabet.The term computer software evolved from computational theories and formulas from pioneers in mathematics. Cloud computing is one of the IT industry's newest buzzwords. If you're anything like me, you're wondering what on earth it actually means, especially when authors like Nicholas Carr proclaim it the way of the future. I was so curious that I went out and did some research so I could figure out this new phenomenon for myself.Splitting up the two words makes this term easier to understand. The cloud is generally understood to be the internet, and in short cloud computing means using the internet for all of your computer needs. Rather than having disc storage, software, and hardware of your own, you store all of your information on the internet. If you use a service like Hotmail or Google Mail (Gmail in the States), you're already doing it. That's because Google and Microsoft's email services store all of your files for you on their servers. In fact, Google is one of the biggest players in the game, as they have several software suites that are free for use on the internet, like Google Docs or Google Calendar.These services are provided for free, but many companies want to make money off cloud computing by extending into businesses. Unsurprisingly, Microsoft is one of them, particularly because cloud computing will take away much of the proprietary benefit they gain from their many pre-installed Windows programs and operating system. Amazon is another provider; they already allow users to set up stores and sell items via their own websites without any additional need for storage, and they plan to expand into other areas of the market as well.As a business model, users typically rent software and hardware facilities that they previously had to buy. Start-ups are already taking advantage of cloud computing because it significantly lowers their initial costs; no longer do they have to buy expensive hardware and software for each employee. It lowers the barrier for entry, though it may not be a cost-effective service for the long run. Consider it like renting an apartment before you save up the money for a down payment on a house.Similarly, the cloud model doesn't make sense for larger companies who already own the necessary hardware and software. It would just be too expensive. In the future, however, some technology enthusiast are already envisioning cloud computing as a common utility like electricity or gas, completely eliminating the need to run servers or potentially even individual computers on your own. To me, however, this seems to be a number of years off.How will users benefit from cloud computing when it does fully arrive? Well, for one thing, everyone would be able to access any of their files at any location. If you do some work from home, you'll no longer need a laptop or even a flash drive because everything you could access at home will also be available to you at work. Like webmail services, your information will automatically sync because it's all stored in the same place.
