As one reads this title, you may be wondering: What is Anti-virus protection? How do I get it? Why is it important? Is it important?
In today's world, if you own a computer, the mention of anti-virus software has been brought to your attention. Although anti-virus software was not always essential to maintaining a computer, the advances in technology have secured anti-virus software as a necessary part of operating a computer. After reading this factual statement, the one question that should come to mind is: WHY?
As you read this, I would like you to think of your own computer. How many important documents do you have saved to your computer hard drive? How many wonderful family photos and memories do you have stored in your picture albums? Can I really live without going on my Facebook page everyday?
If you answered yes to one or all of these questions, you must answer yes to the need of installing anti-virus software onto your computer. Every day that you log on to your computer and download images, surf the web, research information, order clothes, and just about any other thing imaginable, your computer is subliminally welcoming in viruses. These viruses can go undetected, slow down your computer, and could even cause a complete crash of your entire system; without your knowledge that anything is even occurring.
Installing anti-virus software protects your computer to any pre-exposed viruses that may be lurking behind the single click of your mouse. The software essentially scans your files and eliminates any suspicious software, located unidentifiable viruses, and any abnormal behavior within your systems and computer. Performing daily, weekly, or even monthly scans will keep your computer free of viruses and running at lightening speeds.
