Power on the laptop computer and remove the protective cover from the PCI card slot. The slot is generally located on the side of the laptop (opposite side of the CD/DVD drive). The PCI expansion card slot is roughly 2 inches wide and is protected by the small, plastic cover. On the cover it states "Expansion Card Slot," "PCI Slot" or "PCMCIA" (the exact reference name of the slot may differ, depending on the brand and model of your laptop computer).
Slide the flash card PCMCIA into the open slot until it locks into place. Momentarily, the computer states it has detected new hardware.
Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the computer. Click "Next" when the installation wizard loads, then accept the end-user agreement. Leave the installation name and location as-is, then choose "Install."
Restart the computer.
