Click "Start" and click "My Computer." A new window opens.
Double-click "Local Disk (C:)" and double-click the "Documents and Settings" folder. A window opens displaying the contents of the "Documents and Settings" folder.
Double-click the folder with your Windows username. Another window will open with a list of the files associated with your username.
Click "Tools" and then click "Folder Options." A small dialog window opens. Click "Show hidden files and folders" under "Advanced Settings" and then click the "Apply" and "OK" buttons to close the dialog window. This brings you back to the contents of the folder reserved for your username.
Double-click the "Application Data" folder. This displays a window containing several folders sorted alphabetically. Right-click the "Spore" folder and click "Copy."
Insert a rewritable CD or DVD into your optical drive. Alternatively, connect an external storage device such as a flash drive to an available USB port on your computer.
Click "Start" and then click "My Computer."
Right-click on the CD/DVD drive letter or USB flash drive icon and click "Paste." Click "Yes" on the confirmation dialog. If you are using a USB flash drive, the "Spore" folder will immediately begin transferring. Remove the USB flash drive from the computer when the transfer completes. If you are copying to a disc, you will need to execute the burn process -- go on to the next step.
Double-click the "You have files waiting to be burned..." balloon next to the clock on your taskbar. This opens a new window containing the copied folder. Click "File" and then click "Burn..." to copy the files. Remove the disc from your drive when you are notified that the burn process is complete.
Insert the burned disc or connect the USB flash drive to your new computer.
Click "Start" and then click "Computer." This opens a new window containing your drive icons.
Double-click your optical drive or USB flash drive and navigate to the copied folder.
Right-click the folder and click "Copy."
Double-click "Local Disk (C:)" and the "Users" folder. This opens a window containing the folders for all users on the new computer.
Double-click the folder with your username and double-click the "AppData" folder.
Right-click the "Roaming" folder and click "Paste." Click "Yes" on the "Overwrite Warning" dialog.
Close all open windows on your computer. The next time you start "Spore," it will use the saved-game data you transferred.
