Web Disk Protocols

Web Disk uses an expanded form of HTTP, Web Dav, to allow you access to files on the world wide web.Web Disk is an interface that allows you to access files on a server as if they were a disk drive in your computer. For instance, with a Web Disk you can drag and drop files into a server connected to the world wide web and protect them with a password.

A remote file storage system called Webdisk was also developed by the University of Calgary using Web Dav. CPanel, the Unix-based web hosting control panel, provides an application to its users, also called web disk, so you can manage your website's files more easily.
