How to Repair the C Drive

Click "Start," then "Computer."

Right-click on the Local Disk (C:) drive, then select "Properties" from the pop-up list.

Click the "Tools" tab, then click the "Check Now" button under "Error-Checking."

Place checks in the boxes next to "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" in the "Check Disk Local Disk (C:)" dialog window. Click the "Start" button. The system will scan for and automatically fix any errors it finds.
