Open Internet Explorer.
Click on "Tools" and then "Manage Add-Ons."
Click "Enable or Disable Add-ons" if you are running Internet Explorer 7. IE8 users will not need to do this.
Click on the "Show" drop-down menu and select "Downloaded controls" in IE8 or "Downloaded ActiveX controls" in IE7. This will present you with the list of all ActiveX controls currently installed on your computer and show their current status.
