Launch the graphics program with PNG capabilities. Three possible programs are Gimp, Inkscape and Paint.NET. All three of these function in roughly the same way, with the most dramatic difference being the user interface. Gimp has tools setup in the left and right columns, while Paint.NET and Inkscape have most of the tools located at the top. Gimp also has more filters and tools, but requires some learning to get used to. Inkscape is in the middle with some nominal learning required and Paint.NET is the easiest to use, but has the least amount of tools.
Click "New" and set a new document with a transparent background. To do this, click the checkmark near "Transparent."
Make the body part. Each body part must have a separate file, so the torso must be one file, while the neck must be another. Drawing the body part depends on your individual art style and is primarily done with the "Paint Brush" tool. Draw out the body part and color it in by changing the color with the "Color Picker" tool. To add effects to the drawing, go to the "Filters" or "Effects" option in the graphics program and add an effect to the body part. If the character has clothes, draw them with clothes. For example, instead of drawing a naked torso, draw a shirt (like a T-shirt or a button-up shirt).
Save the file as a PNG by clicking "File Type" and selecting "PNG."
Open CreaToon, go to "File," "Import" and click the checkbox for the body part. If importing the head, click "Head" and then choose the head file. CreaToon will arrange the body parts and you can use CreaToon's animation tools to move the character.
