Three months ago, Visilab took a bunch of vans, and equipped it with a foray of laser scanners, cameras, and GPS. Then, they send these heavily modified vans from Italy down to the roads of Moscow and some other cities, even the wasteland Gobi Desert. The vans were modified to become EV, and didn’t even stop for once to drink some gasoline. Though, they were limited to about four hours of travel each day before having to recharge. That’s some 13,000km journey to China, where they stopped by the Shanghai World Expo.
