Samsung has finally announced the launch date of its much teased flagship smartphone Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. The company will be unveiling both the smartphones on February 25 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona. The South Korean consumer electronics giant has shared an official invite of the event.

The invite clearly indicates that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will focus more on the camera aspect. As per rumours it might be possible that the smartphone will sport a dual camera setup just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung's invite for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ launch reads, "If a picture is worth a thousand words, the latest member of the Galaxy family has a lot to say. On February 25, Samsung Electronics will showcase the next generation of Galaxy devices that reimagines the camera and redefines the way you share your moments."

The event will start at 6 pm CET (10.30 pm IST) on February 25, 2018.

The Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ are expected to come with the same 5.8-inch and 6.2-inches Infinity Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The devices are expected to be powered by Qualcomm's flagship processor Snapdragon 845 or the company's own Exynos 9810 processor. The reports further suggest that the smartphone will come in two variants - 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

In terms of battery capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is said to be backed by a 3,000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S9+ is expected to house a 3,500 mAh battery.
