While there have been many smartphone launches in the first month of 2018, other categories have been surprisingly quiet. However, there seems to be some action in the television category. Japan-based Daiwa has launched its first product of the year with a 32-inch smart TV D325SCR in India.
Priced at Rs 15,490, the TV is available both online with Paytm, Flipkart and Amazon and offline leading retail stores in the country. The TV comes in just a single colour option of space grey and comes with a Chrome stand.
The D325SCR TV comes with an A+ Grade panel and 16.7M Display Colors rating which is said to deliver vivid colour. The TV runs Android 4.4.4 operating system and comes with several pre-loaded apps such as Netflix, YouTube, and Google Chrome.
The device is powered by 1.3GHz Dual Core processors coupled with 1GB RAM. It also has 8GB internal storage on-board. It has two 10W Dolby built-in box speakers which the company claims, "boast amazing sound of a perfect fusion of bass and lows." In terms of connectivity, it offers 2 HDMI, USB and CO-AX output ports. In terms of additional features, the TV boasts of Multi-Media Playability, remote mouse technology and mirror screen technology.
The 32-inch category in televisions is a competitive segment and the brand will face tough competition from all the other consumer electronics giants. With most brands offering similar features, it does become a bit challenging to stand out in an already crowded space. Daiwa, with its latest offering, would hope to do so.
