NEW DELHI: Search giant Google has started rolling out update to its its Android Wear platform, Android Wear 2.8. The new update offers some changes and improved notification display and support for darker backgrounds.
In an official blog post, the company has revealed that the update brings new layout for the notification glanceability feature which shows more of message at a glance. Along with this, the update also makes the readability better for darker background. The update will also bring improvements to Google's wearable platform.
The update is also expected to add the ability to have less unused space while reading notifications and it may bring an option to rebundle notifications like it was prior to the release of Android Wear 2.0. The darker background feature will be more useful since most of the Android Wear smartwatches sport an OLED display.
Users need to note that this is an update on the Android Wear app on their smartphones, and is not same as the OTA update on some watches.
