Airtel's revised Rs 149 and Rs 399 plans will now offer 28 days and 84 days validity respectively. The plans will compete again Reliance Jio's Rs 149, Rs 399 prepaid plans.
Bharti Airtel has revised its Rs 149 and Rs 399 prepaid recharge plans to offer added validity. The revision of Airtel’s Rs 149 and Rs 399 plan can be seen as a direct reaction to Reliance Jio’s prepaid plans with the same price and validity.
The refreshed Rs 149 prepaid plan from Airtel will now offer 1GB of daily data with unlimited local and national calls, and 100 free SMS per day for a validity period of 28 days. The Rs 149 plan is not available in all regions, though. The plan has been revised for the the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles. Airtel users who wish to avail of the new Rs 149 prepaid plan should check the details of the plan for their respective circles online before recharging.
In contrast to Airtel’s Rs 149 plan, Reliance Jio also offers a Rs 149 prepaid plan with 1GB daily data, 100 SMS, and unlimited calling. Jio’s Rs 149 plan also offers free access to the telco’s suite of apps.
Alongside the Rs 149 plan, Airtel has also revised its Rs 399 plan to now offer 84 days of validity, 1GB daily data, 100 SMS, and unlimited national & local calls. Airtel’s Rs 399 prepaid plan used to earlier offer a 70 day validity instead.
Reliance Jio also offers the same benefits with its Rs 399 recharge plan. Jio’s Rs 399 plan also offers 1GB of daily data, Unlimited VoLTE calls, 100 SMS, and a complimentary subscription to Jio’s apps.
Jio recently upped the data limit on its Rs 153 plan to offer 28GB of data for 28 days, with a limit of 1GN data per day.
Airtel previously introduced a new Rs 59 prepaid plan to offers unlimited calling with free bundled data for 7 days. You can read about the plan here.
