NEW DELHI: It seems that the data war is not going to end anytime soon. In a bid to outdo each other, telecom operators are coming up with revised plans on an almost weekly basis. Airtel, a leading telecom operator has revamped its Rs 399 prepaid plan.

After the revision, the plan offers more validity. This means Airtel users can now enjoy unlimited local and STD calling, 100 SMS per day and 1GB 3G/4G data per day for the period of 84 days. This is the second time that Airtel has revised its Rs 399 plan. Earlier this month, the telecom operator refreshed the plan and increased its validity to 70 days in order to give competition to Reliance Jio.

Reliance Jio also offers a plan with the same denomination. Under the Rs 399 plan Jio offers unlimited local and STD calling with 100 SMS and 1GB 3G/4G data for the period of 84 days.

Along with the Rs 399 plan, Airtel also revised its Rs 149 plan earlier today. Under the Rs 149 plan Airtel now offers unlimited local and STD calling, 100 SMS per day and 1GB data for the period of 28 days. This plan also competes with the Rs 149 plan of Reliance Jio. Jio offers unlimited calling with 100 SMS and 1GB data daily for the period of 28 days under Rs 149.

Recently, Airtel announced that it has partnered with Amazon and will be offering free Amazon Prime subscription to its postpaid subscribers. As part of the partnership the telco will be giving free Amazon Prime subscription for a year to its postpaid users who are using the Infinity plan of Rs 499 and above. The same offer is also available for Airtel V-Fiber broadband users who have the working plan of Rs 1,000 and above.
