Google's wearable operating system platform Android Wear underwent a revamp in February this year with Android 2.0, which was based on Android 7.0 Nougat. But now after the roll out of Oreo, Android Wear has also started getting the lasted Android update.
As part of the update, Android smartwatches now have a battery-saver mode and vibration intensity controller. Also, they will now have a new touch lock option for wet conditions, notification channels and support for seven new countries. These are Belgium (Dutch), Czech Republic (Czech), El Salvador (Spanish), Honduras (Spanish), Nigeria (English), Paraguay (Spanish), and Portugal (Portuguese).

Recently, Google rolled out a toned-down version of its latest Android Oreo update called the Android Oreo (Go Edition). This is designed to run on smartphones running on 1GB or 512MB RAM capacity.
Google aims to fix the issue of Android fragmentation as Android Oreo Go Edition will bring the latest update even on budget smartphones.
The Go edition of Android Oreo will have its own set of apps such as Files Go, Google Go (a stripped-down version of Google Search app), Google Assistant Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go and more.
Besides this, Google will also have a toned-down version of the Google Play Store "that allows you to download any app, but also highlights the apps designed to work best on your device."
