Samsung itself was involved in leaking screenshots of the upcoming Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ while Geekbench revealed benchmark scores and some specs and a case-maker has tipped dual cameras on the larger S9+.
Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and the S9+ are two of the most anticipated smartphones of 2018 and leaks and reports have already given us a glimpse of what we can expect from the Samsung flagships next year. Recently, Samsung itself was involved in leaking screenshots of the upcoming smartphone when its music creation app SoundCamp showed screenshots similar to the Galaxy S9 renders we have seen online. Moreover, the Galaxy S9+ was spotted on Geekbench revealing the specifications while case renders of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ tipped dual cameras on the back of the phones.
Samsung’s music app Soundcamp has been using screenshots of an unannounced Samsung phone which resembles the Galaxy S9 leaks and design renders we have seen before.
The Galaxy S9+ also surfaced on Geekbench with a purported model number SM-G965U1. It scored an 2422 in single-core and 8351 in multi-core benchmarks. That makes the Galaxy S9+ 25 percent better than the Galaxy S8+ which had scores of 1929 for single-core and 6084 in multi-core tests. The Geekbench listing also tipped on an octa-core Qualcomm chipset which could be the Snapdragon 845 along with 6GB of RAM. The phone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo.
The final leak comes from case-maker Olixar which has listed 12 cases on Mobilefun for the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ phones. The case renders reveal the Galaxy S9+ will have dual cameras while the Galaxy S9 will not. The same company had earlier predicted the design of the iPhone X as well through its case renders.
